Rooster Teeth Inter-Office SMITE Tournament: Team BAM Vs Team Cranberries

Maggie, Monty and Joel would probably be a good team. Monty would probably destroy everyone if he tried.

I feel bad for Barbara, she actually practiced and you can tell, the other two were nothing more than cannon fodder. :/ woulda liked to see her paired with a better team because then you woulda seen her thrive and probably be more seen as the "gamer girl". she was actually good in this game and i bet if she were on a better team that they woulda went far.

Ah I'm late! I just bought myself and Xbox one so I have been kinda busy... ;P but here it is, the character breakdown if you're new to smite! Barbra & Patrick/NEITH: Neith is a range physical damage character who specializes in heavy auto attack damage, and decent ability damage. Her passive is whenever an enemy God does, or she uses her backflip, a broken weave is placed on the ground. When she used abilities near it they gain additional benefits. Her first ability lets her shoot a spirit arrow in a line, doing good damage and rooting everything hit, if it hits a weave, it explodes, rooting and damage ing everyone in the radius. Her second ability is a ground target ability that does damage, reduces attack speed of enemies, and heals neith, and if it hits a weave it heals her as well. Her third ability is a backflip, it slows and damages enemies hit by it, and she leaves a weave where she flipped from. Her ultimate lets her charge up a shot and target ANY enemy God she has vision of on the map. Once she fires (you can choose when and you can cancel the ult anytime you want.) it travels through walls and minions and hits the first enemy God hit, allowing the other team to jump in front of the arrow to protect weaker teammates. Kyle/APOLLO: apollo also is a ranged physical damage character who also has high auto attack damage and decent ability damage. His passive is when he lands a certain number of auto attacks, (10 or so I don't remember) he gains a big attack speed boost for a certain number of auto attacks. (5 or 6) his first ability is just a burst of damage in a straight line ahead of him. His second is a mez. When activated, everyone around apollo is mesmerized for a long period of time (depending on the abilities rank at the time) and stay that way until they take damage and he also gains a little protection during jt. His third ability is is an escape, he slides forward, knocking enemies away, and gaining ticks for his passive. At the end of the slide, enemies are slowed and allies gain movement speed for a short time near him. His ult lets him call a chariot to carry him into the sky, draining mana for the duration of him in the sky. You can fly around the map as you wish, and choose a location on the ground, Apollo then jumps down and does damage to everyone int he radius and knocks them back. Meg/THOR: thor is a melee physical damage character who has good auto attack damage and good ability damage. His passive is he gains physical damage for every enemy God near him, stacking up to 3 times. His first ability lets him throw his hammer forward, doing damage. It then returns to him doing damage again to anyone hit, and at any time he can activate the ability again to teleport to the hammer. His second ability lets him slam his hammer down creating a long wall, stunning all enemies hit, and blocking movement. His third is simply him spinning around for damage every few seconds to all enemies around him. His ultimate is he can fly up into the air, and choose an area in a LARGE radius all around him to land back down, which stuns enemies and causes damage. Josh O./SUN WUKONG: SWK is a melee physical warrior, who has decent damage, and good defense. His passive is, wen he is below 35% health, he gains protections, and critical strike chance %. His first ability lets him slam down his cudgel down In a long straight line in front of him, doing damage. It does 20% more damage to minions and jungle camps. His second ability spins his cudgel, damaging and slowing enemies hit. His third ability is awesome. He can choose to transform into one of three animals with their own abilities: Eagle is the fastest, and is immune to slow and root effects, tiger mauls the first enemy his and stuns them, and Ox knocks all enemies hit aside an does damage, and is immune to slow root AND knock up effects. His ult gives him cc immunity and he jumps into the air, leaving a decoy with some of wukongs power and defense, and the decoy starts auto attacking nearby gods. The decoy can be killed instantly with a hard cc ability . While in the air WUKONG is invisible, and regenerates health. If the decoy dies while he's in the air, he is revealed. At any time during the ult you can jump down for a burst of damage in the radius, but the regeneration stops. ?/XBALANQUE: I don't know her name, sorry... But! Here is the character: his passive is, whenever he kills an enemy God, he gains a little bit of power, permanently. (For the duration of the match at least. :P) his first ability is an activated ability that effects your auto attacks, once activated, your auto attacks do more damage, and split into two more that hit enemies behind the target doing less damage. While activated, it costs a small amount of mana to use auto attacks with it on. (You can deactivate it at any time.) his second ability shoots out darts in a cone in front of him. Enemies hit take damage and then take damage over time, AND are slowed. His third ability makes him dash forward, then I to the air, spinning around and shooting darts at all enemies In the area, and enemies poisoned by his second ability take additional damage. His ult (when the screen went black for the cranberries) creates darkness around his enemies, GREATLY reducing their vision range for three seconds. During this time Xbals auto attack range is increases and his speed. Any enemies moving when the darkness ends, are stunned. If you have any questions let me know! I feel bad for Meg. She left a community at SourceFed that really appreciated her and loved her sense of humor and came here. I'm not trying to be a massive Meg fanboy but this community is definitely a lot more negative and offensive than SourceFed's.

Wow, Meg is bad. =/ If you're diving in alone, to initiate fights, then build tanky. That's a cardinal rule, for the vast majority of games. If you're dead before your team gets there, then you are pointless.

This saddens me. All three teams I was rooting for has fallen. Team Lads: Squashed. Team Gents: Jobbed. And now Team BAM: Future Endeavored. :( Now I'm not sure who to root for. Probably the Beasts from the I.T. Dept, Team Dark Souls as they're going to take this tourney.

What REALLY bugged me was that Meg continued to trash talk while she was getting her ass kicked. It just made her look like a sore loser.

I hate it when they apply the opening logo audio on the gameplay audio layer. It makes me think the video is a lot quieter than it really is.

Gotta love Black Ops 2 Zombies Menu Screen music in the background whenever it is on Josh O.'s screen. I shit you not; go back and check and listen closely.

Barbara was a lot better than I thought she would be. I don't mean to be offensive, but she just never seemed to be as into gaming as some other people at Rooster Teeth.

I'm really curious why in a game where there is a built in 3v3 game mode a 3 man team tournament chooses to use the 5v5 arena map, that also happens to use special(imo stupid) rules instead of the map designed for 3v3 gameplay(that uses standard moba rules) its baffling.

I think it's pretty evident that there are very few people at rt that understand MOBAS. So far, every team that communicates the best wins. For example, team rainbow tiger had the best communication of all the teams, in my opinion, so far; constantly telling their team where they are, where the enemy is, and when abilities were up. And their wombo combo coupled with their communication led them to a 43-0 win. With that said, I think it's a lot of fun to watch these videos even though some decisions make me cry (stop chasing when their entire team is fed so much!). It's fun to watch teams try to adapt to a game that they may not understand to try and win. And the background commentary is always funny. I would definitely watch more tournaments like this. Maybe the top 4 from this tournament set up the teams that get byes in the next tournament?

Team Rainbow Tiger vs Team Leftovers is going to be a tough one. Blaine absolutely destroyed in his round but Gus didn't do too shabby either. Either one could take it but It will be Dark Souls that goes into the finals after beating The Cranberries.

Follow up on my previous question: I really wanted to enjoy this video. Really. It has team Cranberries, who I want to win, and Ray seems talkative. But I couldn't. Meg goddamn comments ruined my attitude every time her shrill shrieking hurt my ears. And her fucking gameplay is horrible as well. Unfortunately, this is going to one of the very seldom times I dislike an RT video.

Being a very active member in the smite community and the roosterteeth community, I would just like to say maybe some practice would have helped (vvgj barb) and wished there could have been a community team because dark souls is going to rek shop.

Fun fact: Goku was heavily inspired by Sun Wukong! Everything from his name to his little staff he used in the original Dragonball.

Damn Barbara should have had that considering her practice time she did well ( I say this because of the general standard on display from most other teams so far). Honestly on a different team Barbara would have carried them hard to victory.

The biggest mistake from Team BAM was that they decided to focus on themselves as individuals and not as a team. It's prevalent throughout the whole match. The silence might seem like a good thing-since it seems like they're focusing- to the uninitiated but in games such as MOBAS, where communication with your team is essential, they really fucked up big. They're all too used to playing alone I guess, because I saw little communication within Team BAM. Team Cranberries on the other hand, was much more communicative and team focused so they won.

Barb was pretty badass, put that practice to very good use. Just let down by Meg and Ashley...either that or the other team was just too good. Good game regardless.

Wow, i am very impressed by Barb's playing in this match. She never struck me as the MOBA type. Meg just needs to stop overextending and this would be a solid team lol

Poor Barbs, she deserves a better team. It looks like Meg never played the game nor even know what game mode they were playing. Rushing into 3 vs 1 fights is clearly illogical. Mad props to Barbara, those many hours of practice really shows.

Well, hopefully the final match will be somewhat of an even fight. Seriously, these are just way too one-sided to be entertaining. If you're gonna have a tournament, please make sure your participants practice the game enough so they know what they're doing. Not only will the players feel more confident about playing the game, but it will also provide us with higher quality videos.

Yeah, I care even less about this tourney now that my faves were eliminated, but I REALLY hope this isn't the end of team BAM. I'd love to see them do more! Like, maybe a Contagion or something.

General tips: Don't chase, especially when the rest of their team is in range and able to shoot you. Specific tips: Don't chase Sun Wukong. It brings nothing but frustration. More specific tips: Dammit, Meg, you can use Thor's 1 to run away in a pinch! (As a sidenote, not a single mage or guardian in that battle. No magical damage at all, in fact. That's...interesting.)

I was hoping BAM would win that simply because everyone was saying they would suck. Unfortunately, well we saw what happened. Ashley was alright, Barbara was good, and Meg should have been replaced with literally anyone, or no one. The fact that she died soooooo many times made them fall way behind. Nice try though.

i think people just need to take this slightly less to heart, like it takes time and practice to get good yes and if you have time to practice excellent! but these people work full time in a production company who have all been working so flipping hard on projects, plus with lazer team happening im surprised any of them had time to practice at all! i play smite, and am studying to work in the media industry, it took me a lot of time to get good. this is obviously all just a bit of inter office fun, and people need to start treating it as such c:

I knew I'd regret looking at the comments on this video. "haha no wonder they lost, they're GIRLS!!!" no, they lost because the other team obviously practised a lot more. Barbara/Ashley was doing a good job, Meg obviously didn't practise a lot and dropped the team a little. Gender is irrelevant. No one said anything about Team Lads when they lost apart from that they "sucked". But suddenly girls lose and it's all "OFC THEY LOST, GIRLS SUCK AS GAME ROFL".

I thought Meg was gonna be one of the only new people (not really new but don't think she's been in the lets play channel) to not be hated at all. The hate is not as bad as people are making it to be, but seriously how can anyone not like Meg?

After all the hate Barbara noramlly recieves for not being the best at games it is awesome to see something like this. She obviously practiced alot and knew her role and the tactics really well for someone that is new to MOBAs. All I can say is I'm impressed at her level of skill. No matter the gender she still did a fantastic job!

Megs reaction time was so bad... Barbara did pretty good i think. It was a bit surprising, thought Meg would do better since she claims to play lots of games, but it sounds like her mom just carries her through games....
