​@SelvaPrabhuS not necessary, sir. As long as adequate tooth structure is present, the dentist makes a straight access into the root canal, removes the pulp, fixes medicaments and seals the opening. As there is less tooth structure that is lost, there is no need to put a crown. May be if the tooth is discolored, they make use laminates in facial surface alone

I just found out today that i needed a root canal and crown for one of my front tooth. I almost got a veneer to fix the discoloration. I’m not sure which is the best solution but i’m thinking fixing the problem is better than just covering it up.

@@starfox1 When I asked the same question, my dentist told me that sometimes teeth after they have been capped 'can't handle the weight' and the nerve dies off. I don't know, maybe some bacteria got caught under the cap/tooth when they were drilled down before being capped - I'm not sure.

You got this big rubber shute clamped around the tooth and and spread out your mouth. The dentist is asking you if your are okay. All you can say is "aaarrraaahhh". 😂😂😂. It is what it is.

If I may reply to you mrs Flores, am an intern dentist, could conclude from your words that ur tooth got discolored second to necrosis (death) in pulp tissue lying within your tooth [and not actually second to trauma] , so having infection in surrounding structures (hard or soft) is normal cause necrosis was induced by pathogenic bacteria that could infiltrate within your teeth. So, don’t stress urself, accurate cleaning of the dead tissue within ur tooth with proper placement of root canal filling material will gradually restore a more accepted color of that tooth (it may require internal bleaching after few months) so keep on with ur specialist and that matter will be solved, Insha'Allah.

@@venkeyvenkat6211 I don't think you will lose your original tooth, the doctor will just remove the pulp from inside the tooth as shown in the video. Has the discoloration increased over time though? Also, I hope you get the procedure done soon because it's been a lot of time for you. 👍🏻

I'm not a doctor but I think that if it changes color something is going on with the nerves of the tooth,and if it is so,this is what they will probably do to your tooth but again,I'm not sure,I didn't get this done when I broke my teeth

Every root canal I’ve done needed a crown. I’ve had 7. Luckily they were not front teeth. Some of the caps look pretty real

I don’t think I actually need a root canal on a front tooth, but one of them have been kind of sensitive to cold, so worst case scenario it needs one. I’m just wondering if the case would be different on a front tooth and if less tooth structure would be taken away, would it mean it could get away with just a filling or would it still need a crown. I just don’t want a fake front tooth, even if it looks real. I’m freaking myself out for no reason, cause I didn’t see a dentist abt it yet lol

@@odeleya1768 sometimes my front teeth feel like that. You probably need to brush better. Same thing happened to me. I thought maybe I had a cavity or needed a root canal. Doctor just said brush better. Honestly it could be a cavity. Better get it done before it becomes a root canal

I already got a lot of fillings done and a root canal and I have to go again soon for another root canal on a back tooth. I guess I’ll just mention it. I can tell somethings going on there, I can feel something in the back of that tooth. Hopefully the worst case is just a cavity that can be filled
