At the beginning of this growing season I planted my garden with the intention of saving cuttings and entire plants to overwinter. I've never overwintered plants on this scale before so, this is a total experiment.
I'm hoping that this really works out, especially the myrtle cuttings. I know that this product is very popular and I've been researching how to properly use it for quite some time, so I hope I was able to help share some useful information.
P.S. I'm apparently going through puberty again, so I apologize for my haggard looks! LOL

I agree. I’ve been watching several of these videos and yours showed the most detail without bogging down. Plus I’ve never even thought about washing the snips with alcohol. Now I’m not anxious I’m going to mess this process up. Thank you ! 🌱🪴🌱

I was just looking up a guide to this powder cause I know it's the brand I bought... never even knew you could use it on seeds, I'll get good use out of that I have a 20'x10' greenhouse waiting for spring haha, Also a lot of trees need pruning, I'll try growing some roots on branches before I cut them first, I saw that in another video. Thanks for reading the instructions for me lol I'm too lazy to go out in the greenhouse to read them myself... it's cold.

I also enjoyed the video, yes a bit long but in the effort to be as informative as possible I understand as I am often a bit overly loquacious myself. My real desire is to see the outcome, a follow up vid would have been crazy great idea or even bi monthly installments to show the growth and then you said eventually to split into other pots, also a great opportunity to further market your site! The person that said they used on Hydrangea said they would share the results but never did, shame, but you sir did very well.

This is very helpful! Thank you! I have a peace lily the o brought about 2 and a half weeks ago and I discovered week 2 it has root rot, so trying to bring it back to it's correct health before she gives out on me! How soon did you see new roots?

It took about 2-3 weeks for me to see new roots. I don't know if the length of time was affected by where I kept them and the level of humidity they received.

I keep the soil most by misting the plants...then once I see roots begin to sprout then I water normally thereafter.

Will the water method work? I've had success with fig clippings in water without the root hormone. I bought the same root hormone as you did. I'm trying the water method with a guava clipping.

Jhuly, I am ready to plant now! Thanks for all the useful tips. My question is around the visible root, how can you see roots in the soil? Maybe i am being dense!

Good question! I tend to wait until the plant has rooted in for a few weeks before checking the roots. I wait at least 4 weeks then I gently tug at the plant from the base. If there's resistance then I know its rooted in. Otherwise just pop the whole plant (including the soil) and check to see if the roots have begun to grow.

My bottle looks like that but I got it from Walmart. Hopefully it's basically the same thing. I live in the PNW and it's always cold, rainy, and crappy. I'm wondering if I can use it on bulbs I already planted 8 inches deep? I don't want to dig them up lol Also I want to know if I can add it to the water that I have some leaves in.

I just picked up a bottle of this and the instructions are abysmal. This is a step in the right direction. I have some seedlings that are struggling and I want to apply this as solution in water. Do I really have to put the powder directly on the roots?
