I know people that can absolutely shred a bike in the woods when they have no pressure but if you add a major sponsor and enrol them in race circuits they would crumble, the expectation and pressure would strip them of there skills in a heart beat. I know this because that was me. Racing at this level takes way more than just being to handle a bike fast down a hill. Anyone winning races at this level are superhuman or pretty close to it. Downhill is a special kind of beast. Good luck Richie.
Wow amazing. I wish I could ride like that or at all really. I purchased a YT Capra and it broke almost immediately so I haven’t had a bike in months. I wish that I bought a bike from a company like Yeti. Smoke those weirdo clowns over at YT for me!!!
I re-discovered downhill biking for me at age of 38 after a lifecrysis. I can empathize the emotion in that video, cause I never felt that free when riding. Watching this gives me goosebumps.
DUUUUUDE SOOOOO GOOD!!!! I had the immense pleasure of watching Richie race at Mt Snow when I first got into mountain biking back in 2010. I think he was only 15 if I remember right but EVERYONE was talking about that kid. I congratulated him and I just knew I would be seeing much more of RUDE BOY!!!!!!!! Outstanding
Yeti history runs deep ! QUESTION ? Who’s your favorite ? Who’s the most bad-ass Yeti racer of all time..!?! Today Richie certainly is at the tip of the spear. Remember Tomac, Missy,Miles Rockwell even Gwinn. ? A huge nod to John Parker, Chris Herting and LEGEND F.T.W. Frank “the welder” Wadelton) Back in the day Yeti’s were the shit and cooler than free beer. However my vote goes to my best friend, cycling phenom- one whom has given more than anyone…. Kenny “Haggar” Foraker Hit by a drunk driver in ‘86 losing his left leg and still just simply SHREDS ! How shreddy ? He was signed as their factory D.H.er in ‘93 with yes one leg !!! Go Richie ! Kick-ass sea-bass.. but remember if Haggar had 2 legs everyone else would be racing for second.
