Stating at time 33:16 of the presentation, the presenter introduces the ability to form a family group and share your recorded living relatives with your family group members. This is very exciting to me, for in the past, living individuals were kept in a private space, unseen by other users of FamilySearch, and I wanted to preserve the names of these relatives for my children and their descendants. Thank you, FamilySearch for meeting this need.
I am 74 years old now, as I listen about your saving family stories, my mind went back to when I was about 5 years old with my twin brother, my grandmother Mama Nipper, took us in the back yard to where my grandfather's wood working shop was. A female dog had craw under the wood floorboard and had her pups. Our job was to craw to where the pups were and bring them out as they were at a age to give away. Thank You so that I could play back in my mind and tell this story.......... Ronald Eugene Crook Johnson
I have a suggestion to make. Not sure where to send it to but here we go: on the "Other Relationships" tool, please add to the list the option of "Marriage witness". In Brazil (and other countries, I assume), we always find two or more witnesses in the marriage records in both civil and religious marriages. OR maybe provide a way to add the witnesses in the marriage "departmen". Btw, this "other relationships" tool is great. Thank you.
Thank you! I would love to be able to have a split screen of the Person's Details page & their Sources page, so when I'm adding a source I can see the details (so I'm double checking the info as I copy & pasting from elsewhere) EVEN with Source Linker when it's SOOOO confusing when it tries to attach step families together incorrectly!!!!
If you are on the new version of the person page you can do this! Scroll down on the details page to the Tools box and you'll see Sources. If you click there a new column will open up allowing you to see both the details page and the attached sources
