Ok so far I nailed every move in 10 minutes just from remembering some kung fu movie I have seen a decade... after randomly gettimg this recommended I got a feeling thia went from level 10 to level 1010.
Its amazing watching you and seeing the patterns you create. Been a favorite for a few years now. I do poi, contact poi, and fire poi. and I am learning all these other flow arts, Your step by step was great and your explanations were easy to follow. Youre an amazing flow artist and a great teacher. keep them coming!
First, thank you so much for this tutorial series!! I've always stuck with fixed props - poi was just not my jam, but after trying out a friends rope dart a few weeks back I am HOOKED! Second, I really hope you make the underarm variation tutorial.
I'm really, really loving your videos. I'm currently learning staff, but knowing the rope dart and staff have some similar properties i'm planning on picking this up next. Thank you for these tutorials!!
1) I feel much less frustrated knowing that it took someone at your skill level two _months_ to get this move down. Sometimes I am lucky to even get in a few minutes of time to practice with my dart, let alone time to drill. So now I don't feel so bad when I can't seem to get a move to work for me!
Awesome!!! I had a teacher who once told me that all we really need is 15 minutes per day to make real progress. That rule used to help me a lot back when I first started! Yeah, I am honestly a pretty slow learner actually. I used to be embarrassed by it. I felt stupid in class. But now I realize that everyone has their own pace and that will end up having nothing to do with how god they are. I would even go as far as to say that taking forever to learn moves is what got me to be better, because I learned how to to stick to a goal even when it’s was really frustrating to me
This is one of my favorite moves ive seen with a dart & you explained it very well! I would love to see the other variations of it! Also did not know you had a patreon! Will be heading over there to subscribe! You are my inspiration for rope dart & hope to meet you someday, but for now I'll just keep learning from your videos 💕 keep doing your thing girl!! So talented!
Eres taaaan linda! Y buena explicando 🤩💜💜 Yo llevo años haciendo Poi y la verdad es que lo disfruto mucho, encontrarme con en este juguete a sido una maravilla para mí, me siento como pez en el agua. 🤪 Saludos desde México 🥰
I don't believe it! In the beginning, it seemed impossible, but I actually understood the movement, and then it was easier to do! I practiced just for a few days but I know that it is gonna be awesome in a few months!
Thanks for the great video. What do think is harder to learn, a matrix(with contact or Dragon staff) or the Sunrise with a rope dart, personal opinion?
Hmmmmm I think they are right on par with each other actually! Haha. I think with both it just depends on whether you know the trick to it. You could spend months training it but if you are not thinking about it properly you might not get it. So it’s more about how you think about it that will make it difficult or easy
Hello! I congratulate you for all your art! I would love to learn, what kind of dance or dance do you suggest to start practicing so that I can create a beautiful performance like this? I practice juggling: swing, but I don't know if I should learn to dance funk or dance, or I don't know, what do you recommend? Thank you and success, beautiful companion, greetings from Argentina!
you can start this without a backround in anything actually :) I dont have much backround in dance or martial arts. just know some theory on stance and footwork, which helps a lot
Hi I need a troubleshoot. I can't get the figure 8 part. The dart keeps flying acrossed my body and hits me in the face or it travels too far behind me and tangles in my legs/slaps my butt. What am I doing wrong?
The list grows but the snow begins to melt. All is becoming right in the world. Thank you for this,so much and I would like to learn the other one too , more moves the better after all lol :D
I think you can definitely do it! Might take a little extra time but I think it can be done ❤️ and if not, there will be a way to do a slight variation I am certain :)
@@FlowMayhem Righteousness! Your tutorials are awesome and I've picked up the elbow shot and dragon necklace as I just started rope dart last week! Thank you for sharing!!!
Flow Mayhem >>> How good will you consider it to be if one is able to do this after 2 days of training? Not perfect but OK on the basic technique. It´s flowing.
@@FlowMayhem Thankyou. I´m not trying to sound cocky or anything. I just watched what you do in your video very intensely and then stubbornly trained it and remembered what you´ve said. I think it´s got something to do with that I always try to feel my way ahead. I didn´t try to do it fast just right technically.
