Thanks for the vid! Can you do a video on face pulls for the rear delts? I feel like that's one of those exercises that everyone sets up and does differently, and it would be interesting to see why people "feel" it more with certain set ups from an anatomical stand point.

Thank you for this… I’ve never watched a tutorial on this exercise before but always wondered which variation was correct. Through experience I kind of figured out there were two ways of doing this without doing something drastically wrong which I’m relieved to see. The pointers in this video will take this move to new heights now, I’ll be able to move between positions for equal load to maximise the gains 👌🏾🙌🏾💪🏾 you the man!

Feelings, nothing more than feelings 🎼 But seriously, the amount of detailed education you give is incredible valuable. I love that you also use different ways to explain/model (the strap for lats and the very artistic stick people). Giving these visual variations will help all types of learners. I also appreciate that even though you are giving a lot of details you can still pack it in less than 10 minutes. Thank you!!

Great video. Moving the position of the body or the height of the cable itself puts the load into different areas of the lat. I have been doing this for years and have recommended such things. Glad to see it wasn’t just the way I felt about it. I enjoy the content keep it coming.
@lancer717
@lancer717 2 года назад
So this exercise is superior to the lat pull down?
@tomwhelan8586
@tomwhelan8586 2 года назад
@@lancer717 yes. I found moving the height of the cable puts the tension at different areas of the movement the top of the cable: seems to become easier for me at the middle of the movements so put the cable at mid range or chest height that works the mid end range as a partial range of motion. The cable movement is a good supplemental or warmup for the lats or supplemental. He never steers you wrong on exercises. He’s worth a follow for sure.

Really like your videos and explanations. Does it make sense from a programming perspective to have the same exercise within the same session but with different muscle lengths overloaded?

Just found your channel but it great to see a video on squat position I mean I could google it but visually seeing it. Would be great in a visual and ninkc fairly well. A better explanation of the nautilus nitro I think there’s a misconception on the length of the lengthen how close in someone sits. Being that this has been reviewed so many times it creates confusion
@utubebrowseupload
@utubebrowseupload 3 года назад
What is the advantage and/or disadvantage to working a muscle in the shortened and then the lengthened position? Is there a certain way or sequence to program to get the most ouf ot an exercise? i assume it depends on the goal too, but lets say hypertrophy, be it from a tension/loading or metabolic/pump point of view. I could see exhausting a muscle in the lengthened part and then moving onto something that emphasizes the shortened position, or is my thinking wrong here?

I am training full body 3 times per week. If I hit a row, a pulldown and this hybrid form moving upper body, (one of each session), then I'm covered for the back for the week? Does loading either the stretch attack width more or shortened? Great channel btw, top tips on form!

@DirtyMan2013
@DirtyMan2013 3 года назад
Would pulling farther back and involving the rear delt be a bad thing? If you can give another muscle some work it seems like efficiency. I think the same thing when guys say not to get traps involved with lateral raises. I get not letting the muscle take over and turn into a different maybe less effective stimulus for the target muscle but if an auxiliary muscle sees some extra work awesome. I don't know that I've ever seen a person with overdevelped rear delts.
@Msreesaranyan
@Msreesaranyan 3 года назад
If the goal is to train the lats effectively,pulling the rope or bar down only until the humerus would be good enough as the lats active rom doesn't cross the humerus.If the goal is to train rear delts,rear delt cable flies in a proper plane and rear delt rows would be better choices.
