Matt McGuire yeah, sugar ray robinson was dancing having fun and the skill level was unreal, marvin hagler a blue collar no frills skipper just like his personality. duran and tyson attacked the skip just like they are in life and ring. good point .

+Matt McGuire Truest statement thus far. In Tyson you can see his unrestrained burst of tactical aggression. Surgar Ray Robinson displayed his smooth yet skilled dancing ability. Marciano showed his blue collar, avoiding the frustration of the task, yet focused on getting the job done mentality, which contributed to his success (as did Joe Louis). Pacquiao showed the character of a LIAR!!!! Sorry, had to go there. But seriously, Great Video.

You can learn so much from this video. How silly Sugar Ray Robinson was, how determined Ali was, how smooth Greb was, how stiff Benny Leonard was, how fundamental Dempsey was, how steady Louis was, how strong Marciano was, and I'm sure the rest have their qualities as well I just noticed that about the above men made of iron and hard work.

WanderleiSilva29 sonny was the original mike tyson, actually he was better. Casuals will scratch their head at that but real boxing fans know how ridiculously talented he was. They tried to have him banned from the sport(the boxing commission) because they knew he was going to destroy everyone and become HW champ and they didn’t want someone they thought of as a thug to hold that title. Ali wrote in his book that sonny was one of the most scientific fighters ever. George Foreman said he was the strongest man he’d ever been in the ring with (so did chuck wepner who also fought George Foreman).

I wish you would have had more of Duran, and Sugar Ray Leonard, because both of them took rope skipping to a new level. Floyd was incredible, and Hagler showed his seek and destroy mentality even while rope skipping. Greb was so cool and Dempsey was ready to pounce, LISTON would make you think a thousand times before fighting him even while he danced,Tyson was always in his killer mode. Benny Leonard showed why he rulled the 135 lb division for so many years. And Roy Jones decided that he was the best at everything. Ali was always floating in there. This is soooooooo Amazing! The average person has no idea how difficult it is to keep going without missing a skip. Then to do it for a long extended period of time. Then to do it in a style and adding personality to it. Same with hitting the speed bag. The eye hand coordination and rhythm it takes. The cardio and focus to keep going. Boxers are by far the best athletes. Long distance runners, just get into their pace and run. Sprinters, use a burst of speed and then the race is over. Boxers, need everything...speed, endurance, strength, eye hand coordination, quickness, agility, balance, toughness, lighting quick reflexes, mental quickness and strength. The average person couldn't go 4 rounds @ 3 minutes each round. Great video. All the while getting beat on by the other boxer.

Awesome exercise for weight loss and conditioning. I used to jump rope till I had a hairline tear in my ankle. Took too much time off and getting back into shape, light weight lifting but heavy on cardio.

Its crazy how Ali wasnt ripped, looked normal, and was able to take punches from George Foreman. George is/was a beast and as strong as an ox.

Mike is king. Skipping, speed bag and heavy bag. He took elements from Ray Robinson and Duran and just murdered the art of skipping rope.

Idgaf Sugar Ray Robinson is the best jumper by all means, just watching him is amazing, we're so fortunate that humans invented cameras and were able to capture him on film training.Just watching his foot work makes me want to practice more too, thanx for this vid! ^_^

Cus D'Amatos greatness is a perfect example to what we are all watching. Such a basic exercise yet not one of these legends convey the same thing. Character is what makes a champion

They short changed Mayweather. He's got some serious footwork to boast. I'd give him to top 3 easy. You have to look hard to make sure he still has a rope cause you can't believe he's able to move like that. The rope actually disappears and pops back up when he stops! Otherwise, great video 👍🏾
