Rorschach inkblot test or by its abbreviated name the Rorschach test, is a projection test designed for the psychological evaluation of personality characteristics and thinking and emotional functions of the person, which was created by Herman Rorschach.
The test is named after the Swiss psychiatrist Hermann Rorschach, who developed it in 1921. Rorschach used inkblots for his research on shape perception. He conducted studies in which he presented ink cards to subjects and selected ten cards that distinguished between different clinical groups in the best way.
On November 8, 2013, Google dedicated to the creator of the test, Rorschach, a special interactive doodle logo, inspired by the test.
