Furthermore, Rory sold 30 million albums with no Radio play, and at the time he had very little input from record companies because he refused to do 7" singles. He was never commercialised in the pop charts, and record companies could not make the money from his work so they saw him as a non-starter. Additionally, Rory owned his own music songwriting rights which pissed a lot of the industry off. So Rory is believed to have 'Sold 3O million albums!', ( This is an estimate because no one knows for sure how many albums were sold because there was no central place to collate them). In fact, he could have sold 4 times that many. Touring the world and through live performances galvanised his talent so Rory's reputation sold millions of albums. He was a true independent. If Rory had " Sold Out" he would have produced hundreds of millions of albums, but he would have lost his soul as a result. And he never did that... So I love him all the more.

Saw Rory first time i Oslo 79. Since then he had a spell on me.. In order to have a proper day I need to hear a Rory song.

I had been poorly for a few days - I've certainly "been through it"! BUT, on my smartphone, his videos, for some reason, kept coming up. So how could I NOT RECOVER? The videos were so exciting, they really lifted me!
