Probably where I was introduced to Rory!! Forever thankful!!

This is where I first heard Rory. My friend's older brother told us "if you guys are are really into the great heavy guitarists tune in and watch this guy on Don Kirshner tonight he might be the best off all of them". Of course, we scoffed, as high school know it alls,certainly some dude we never heard of couldn't be in the same league as Clapton, Page,Beck and Hendrix but we tuned in and found out otherwise. I wasn't that well versed in the blues yet so it took me a few years to realize just how great Rory was.He is and will always be my#1. If you want to claim those other guys are better its not worth arguing about but they are the only names you mention in the same breath as Rory. I don't remember my friend Kevin's brothers name but I'm forever in debt to him for enlightening me!

They recordedany of these don K rock concert in the Long Beach auditorium which was adjacent to the Long Beach arena. I went to several tapings it was a blast every time. I was in the audience for this show Rory jammed it was the first of like 5 times I saw Rory. I saw him in LA with rush playing lead up, at the shrine he rocked that night too of course. Growing up in LA area during the 70s provided many awesome show opportunities

Rory had a following in Detroit in the 70's, he even had a minor hit on local FM Rock radio. I think I saw him twice? I can't recall. But I did see him as the opening act for Kiss in 1976 - at Cobo Arena - I was in the nose bleed seats - 3rd bowl..He rocked.

Play that strat Rory, also a shout out for the rest of the band. They were tearing it up, Rory is my mentor and the best guitarist ever ❤
