This video is my Rosanna (Toto): drum cover. For all you "purist drummers" out there... I am not recreating Jeff Porcaro 's part. This is just my interpretation as I have performed it with various bands over the years.
I decided to do this because I am helping a student learn this groove and the part, and I wanted him to be able to see how I do it... and let's face it... it's a fun song to jam out to! I hope you enjoy it.

I was doing my best to get that sound. I’m not the best engineer... still learning and it’s a new studio setup... so there’s gonna be bugs.

Great plan. I agree with Tesla nick, there’s something about the sound that’s not right even the High hat sounds way too harsh.

I'd bet it's audio latency with the recording interface. I can tell by how he's playing that it's tight/in the pocket. it's like the audio interface / DAW is off with the video sync. I can clearly see the video is off a few ms from the audio.

@@RandyHanley That also sometimes happens on RU-vid when you upload... but I am not seeing it on my end.
