Thank you for taking the time to make these videos. There are so few resources for those of us that want to design and build a rose engine for guilloche work. You videos answered so many questions I had and now have all the information I need to finish designing most of my rose engine. I wanted to ask if you wouldn't mind sharing the rack and pinion size you used for your straight line attachment. I'm not sure what to use and any help you could provide would be very much appreciated. Thanks again for the great videos!
Thank you for your comment, the waves shape and radius of the rosettes is determined according to the pattern you want to apply and also the shape of the touch piece against the rosette on the rose engine, many different pattern can be obtained using different shapes and radius of the touch pieces. It is quite complex to explain but there are literatures where you can find answers.
I just love watching your videos. Thank you for the illustration. Also what are dimensions of the amplitude of the rosettes. I remember you mentioned in the past the diameter of the rosettes are around 6" inches. Thx very much.
