It's a "tried and true" favorite that is well worth seeking out. Here's a link that will help you find the locations of all our partnering garden centers: grownbyoverdevest.com/retail-locator/. They are located throughout New Jersey, and when you visit, you will find all sorts of beautiful, tried and true and cutting edge, top performing selections (including lots of other really good roses too). So be sure to stop in regularly throughout the seasons because there will be a steady stream of fresh shipments coming in weekly. And, if they don't actually have any of this variety in stock, have a word with the plant experts there because maybe they will be kind enough to get some in for you. Finally, have you subscribed to our channel? If you haven't, you might like to think about it, because once you are subscribed, each time we post a new video (which we are doing all the time), you will find that they will turn up automatically in your feed. And, as you find our videos helpful, it would be great if you could kindly share the links with your friends and click the "like" button too, because that will help other people find out about the information as well.

@@OverdevestNurseries thank you! I went to Flagg’s garden center in Moorestown. Great place with gorgeous flowers and gigantic selection. They didn’t have the new dawn but Rich is going to order me some! Thanks again!

Thank you. It is a "tried and true" and valuable selection that never fails. Even in our "no spray" trials (where we DO NOT treat it with disease preventative fungicidal sprays) it still grows and performs well. So as well as being very beautiful, it is also a reliable good "doer"!

Hi there, Can it be trained on 3”x3” fence post just like a pillar? Does it have easy pliable canes?
@OverdevestNurseries
@OverdevestNurseries 13 дней назад
Thanks for watching. The canes are pliable, and it can be trained on an obelisk or pillar to be quite narrow, but as you will see from this searchable link to our website: grownbyoverdevest.com/plant-search/ this is a vigorous, strong growing selection that (in time) is likely to grow 8-12' in height. and therefore a singe post may not be strong enough to support that much bulk. If space allows, it might be better to consider constructing a "wigwam" type structure (with say 3 posts), that way it should be more stable and longer lasting. Alternatively, can we suggest you make a trip to some of our partnering garden centers: grownbyoverdevest.com/retail-locator/ to chat with some of the plant experts and explore other possible selections that might fit your parameters better. We hope this helps. Also, have you subscribed to our channel yet? If you haven't, you might like to think about it, because once you are subscribed, each time we post a new video (which we are doing all the time), you will find that they will turn up automatically in your feed. And, as you find our videos helpful, it would be great if you could kindly share the links with your friends and click the "like" button too, because that will help other people find out about the information as well. And, now that we are in the midst of the main planting season (spring through late Fall) we try to encourage everyone to visit these partnering garden centers. They are located all over our Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern region, and that's where you will find all sorts of beautiful, tried and true and cutting edge, top performing selections, so be sure to stop in regularly throughout the seasons because there will be a steady stream of fresh shipments coming in weekly.

Do they rebloom reliably for you? Ours are now 4 years old and while vigorous, they don’t seem to rebloom or do so not in any significant way, unlike our other remontant roses. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It flowers in flushes and repeats quite well during the season. Always strongest (of course) in early summer with lesser bouts during the rest of the growing season including the Fall. One thing you might consider is pruning it less frequently. Unlike several of the more recent introductions, it flowers better on older growth, so it is our recommendation to prune it every second (or even third) year.

I've had mine 5 or 6 years and she blooms amazing in late spring, and not a single bloom after.

Can the new dawn climb up a pergola post? Or does it need something more to attach to and grab on to?
@OverdevestNurseries

It can be trained around a pergola post. Try to tie in the new, longer canes by spiraling them around the post and tying them in place with twine or something. While this is possible, we find it easier to train it on a fence or trellis because it tends to make long horizontal canes that are not quite as flexible as some other types 😉
