The cast was outstanding with their comic timing and their delivery. But we should also be praising the writers of The Golden Girls, whose wacky ideas and delightful dialogue made Saturday nights in the mid-to-late 80's a joy ... and still tickle us to this day. So, big kudos to Susan Harris, Winifred Hervey, Marc Cherry, Gail Parent, Christopher Lloyd, Mitchell Hurwitz, Kathy Speer, Terry Grossman, Richard Vaczy, Barry Fanaro, Tom Whedon, and the rest. Thanks so much. ♥️♥️♥️ During its original run on NBC the show inspired me so much that when I was 24 I wrote a Golden Girls script of my own and sent them a copy for consideration. Nothing came of it, but I learned sitcom script formatting, LOL.

Seen so many comedy shows...but these 4 ladies are on another level. Such talent, class, perfect performances...they are so believable and you have to fall in love with them. What great talents we were blessed to have. Sad for our loss, happy for their fulfilled rich lives. Gracious beautiful courageous ladies on and off screen

Dr.Goldenmoon: I had a neighbor that's alot like Betty White: Norma. She always is bubbly and positive sounding. She'd call everyone " OH HONEY!". She passed away just before her 99th birthday and is really missed. When I see Betty White I think of my former neighbor NORMA.
