Roseland Today 

Like the Clip, but didn't see Enough of the Michigan Ave Corridor, that was an area I Remember as a Child, my Late Mother Bought Her 66 Mustang From the Now Defunct Burt Rose Ford Dealership that used to be at 101st & Michigan, & Shut down in the Early 80's., it's a Damn Shame These Thugs Tore Down Roseland Like they do to Other Chicago Communities With Their Damn Drugs, & Guns, Roseland Bustled Back in the Day! I Moved to L.A in Sept 69 when I was 8, & Still Out Here & Remember Riding Through Roseland Mainly With My Late Mother Back in the 60's & it was Clean & Well Respected Then! Today Roseland Aint No More, Gone Straight to "Filthy Hell!"

I was born and raised in Chicago. My family used to live in that area until I was away for college in 1984, and never moved back there. None of my family members live there; moved out to the suburb in late 1980s. Thank goodness, I live in Minnesota. Now, I am heartbroken to see that trash neighborhood. Smh

love Roseland...there are some really smart, loving God fearing ppl still here. Sad that there are abt 400 abandoned houses. Thankful there are some homes that are being rehabbled. There great things here, too bad ppl are only interested in the bad.

I'm from Texas never been to Chicago, Is This Roseland neighborhood only have Abandonded houses that's all you showed does that make you fill good about your self showing only the negative part of the neighborhood Wow! So all the Black neighborhood in Chicago is bad I wonder why. I notice Chicago was a very Segregated City showing Roseland neighborhood back in the 50's and 60's I didn't see not one Black person I did see a Hispanic, so back in those days Chicago was just like the South Whites didn't want Blacks in there neighborhood so they start moving out. Blacks thought moving from the South to Chicago Whites were different than the Whites in the South the only different about Chicago the Blacks could drink out of the same water fountain and Restroom, Probably set were they wanted to on the City bus.
