Hi Linda, Look at all those buds on mummy Ghislaine! Can't wait to see her in full bloom. Sweet Honey is going to do well for you too. Your garden is looking great Linda and I can tell that you put in a lot of hard work. Nice gardens don't just happen do they? We're back to rain again but I managed a few hours outside this morning when it was dry but it was freezing cold so I had to put on my gardening fleece. Neighbours must've thought I was mad. I had a full day outside yesterday and it was lovely and sunny. It's nice to see the garden taking off as it's been a long time coming. I'm off to water the hanging baskets in the rain so the neighbours will be thinking I've definitely lost the plot! Take care and thanks for the tour. xxx

@wendybartlett6717 Hi Wendy, thank you for your lovely comments. Mummy Ghislaine you're right she is isn't she, I have her children all over the garden now :) Sweet Honey is looking good she is a good strong bloomer, did you get one? I can't remember now. I am with you re. the gardening fleece it's definitely been fleece weather so far, pockets stuffed with ties, string, scissors, labels pen haha my husband says I have pockets like a schoolboy ! So good you got out into your garden, you just have to get out when you can at the moment don't you? I bet your garden is looking stunning now with all the plants you've bought, we just need some nice sunshine now, hope you have a good week in your garden, thanks for watching, take care xxx

@@soulgirlktf Hi Linda, No, I've not found a Sweet Honey yet. I saw one last year in one of the garden centres but she didn't look very healthy and as it was so late in the season, I thought the roses would be renewed this year. I keep telling myself that I should've bought the sick one and nursed it back to health. Someone told me she's a very thorny rose. I'm always covered in scratches from my roses as there's always a damn weed that'll nestle right underneath them. I did find a Super Trouper which I've been after for ages having always admired the one in Nik's garden. I shouldn't really be buying any more roses as my garden is full but you know what it's like, there's always a video that has that invisible, beckoning finger implying you need one of these in your own garden! Blush Noisette is now on my list as is Ghislaine. Have a great week Linda. xxx

@@wendybartlett6717 Morning Wendy, yes Sweet Honey does have a fair few thorns on her, that's always an issue with the roses isn't it haha by the end of the season I will look like I have a cat🙀 the back of my hands are always scratched up! oh that's great that you found Souper Trouper that's a very vibrant rose. I know what you mean about buying more roses I keep thinking I'm done and then... oh dear another rose enters the garden ;) One thing about Blush Noisette and Ghislaine is they are virtually thornless. Ghislaine needs room she likes to sprawl, both are fragrant, Blush Noisette more so and very beautiful perfume, if you are short on space I would go for Blush Noisette but I don't want to tempt you !!! oh dear what are we like?! Hopeless xxx

Your garden is absolutely packed with plants waiting to explode into colour! So many different clematises and roses! And some of them so tempting! You have got me interested in Ghislaine and Emma now - I really shouldn't watch these videos. But I think I am not allowed any more roses until the autumn now - if then, and my want list is already as long as my arm. I need to lose a few, quite a few, roses to make room for any new ones. I did contemplate smuggling a potted rose into the house under a coat ... That reminds me of walking around a department store about 20 years ago and noticing a very large old lady, and as she swung around I saw that she had a birdcage complete with live bird under her coat!

@nikkonch Hi Nik, haha you are so funny a birdcage and bird - what the heck 🤣 I can hear the theme tune to Are You Being Served now !!! I know exactly what you mean re. wish lists🤩 sorry.. I can wholeheartedly recommend Ghislaine, Emma is doing very well for a newcomer, so far so good but very early days. Weather here today was wet this morning, dry this afternoon and currently raining again. Hope you're having a good weekend, take care.

Such a huge contrast from different parts of uk, how our roses flower different time of the season . Most of mine have been in full bloom and most have finished their first flush already. I wish I had the space for ghislaine, she’s such a strong bloomers with hundred of buds. I have 2 blush noisette coming this week , I couldn’t wait till bare root season. My appetite is still unfulfilled without seeing more of your garden once they’re all fully bloom. ❤

@kenvoong5977 Hi Ken, yes definitely and in mild winter/spring as we had everything is early, especially further south. We are usually mid June - mid July for our main rose blooms here in North Yorkshire which is pretty typical for DA gardens down in Shropshire but they were early this year too. Blush Noisette, you made a great choice, she is a fabulous rose you will love her, such a beauty I love the 'noisettes' they are so delicate looking with their small clusters. Blush Noisette has a beautiful fragrance too. Ghislaine is very similar small clusters but she needs room ! The noisettes are very versatile and I think they take shade in their stride too which is a bonus. I find they have a long blooming period, Ghislaine will be flowering 'til the frosts come. I hope you are enjoying your lovely garden this weekend and thank you for watching it's much appreciated.

Two Blush noisettes!!! I hope one is for your sister. I do feel guilty that I may have been partly responsible for these purchases with my recent video. But on the other hand it is a wonderful rose, so really I have done you a favour. I'm actually tempted to get another myself to grow as a proper climber/rambler rather than in a pot.

@@nikkonch Hi Nik, yes you are to blame partly. I’m sure I’ll find room to grow them close together for a greater impact.

Hello Linda! I enjoyed the video very much that I subscribe to you. I like seeing others paradise and your garden is just packed with so many varieties of plants. The Clematis Arabella and the big blue one I got them too in mine. My eyes were stocked on Ghislaine de Féligonde, it’s on my list but I don’t have a space. You’re good on your cuttings, I’m waiting for mine to flower. Looking forward to see more of your garden’s growth.😍🌹🌹🌹

@rosegardengems Hi, thank you so much for watching and for your lovely comments and welcome along, it's much appreciated. I am always amazed that anyone watches my videos, I started them as a record to help me remember what I put where etc. Ghislaine is very lovely but does need a bit of room to spread out. Arabella is very pretty, I do love clematis I have too many if that's possible ! I just had a look at your channel, with your name I was hoping you had some videos, so that's great, I shall enjoy checking those out later this evening and have subscribed to you also, thank you once again for your lovely comments and for watching, have a lovely weekend take care.

Good morning Linda, I hope it's a better one with you than it is here. We've had some rain overnight which is actually much appreciated. Cloudy and cool now. Your garden: Wow! So much going on, where do we start? You have so many roses, quite a few I'm not familiar with although I do look them up. Your Aloha is looking really good. It seems to be, 'The Aloha Year'. Mine's done better than ever before this year. Climbing Iceberg. Yes, what to do with it? I have one that struggles on but it's not in the best of places. I won't be getting rid of mine just yet although, like you and others, I'm not impressed with it. It's all top so I'll prune it hard later this year. All your Clematis look really lovely; so much colour and so many of them. Rural England, Ghislaine de F and Blush Noisette I also have and love them. Yours are doing so well for you and I'll be looking forward to your next video to see how they're doing in a little while. When do you take cuttings from the Ghislaine for growing on? That obviously works well for you. Louie's garden is coming on very nicely; I'm sure he would be very impressed. You have Clematis in your garden that look wonderful. I have a few and I've lost a few. You obviously have, 'The touch'. I really enjoy seeing all the other plants too. Too many to mention but not ignored. I really enjoyed the tour around your garden today and look forward to future ones. Thanks, P.

@peterhaymaker7562 Hi Peter, thanks for your lovely comments, you have such a wonderful garden this is only just getting started but it's surprising when I do look back to when we moved here end of '21 it has really changed so I must be getting somewhere by now :) It's been quite sunny here today I managed to get quite a bit done in the garden. Rain overnight like you say is appreciated if only it could just rain overnight that would be fabulous! Re. cuttings, I do them as I prune, so after the first flush or later as they re bloom and with Ghislaine she can sometimes grow out into the walkway so that can provide a few good cuttings when she needs trimming back, I do them in the winter also with hardwood cuttings and haven't noticed any difference in success rates from the soft , semi hardwood or hardwood. I just take plenty about 6" to 9" in length and end up throwing at least a 1/3 away as they won't all root but that's okay they were going in the bin anyway. Lewie's garden is like a Pizzeria special pizza 'a little bit of everything & lots of love' it's something for me to fuss over I do miss him terribly. Thanks for watching and the lovely comments it's much appreciated, take care.

@@soulgirlktf Hi Linda and thanks for the info/advice re. the Ghislaine. I hadn't thought about soft wood cuttings. I'll give it a go in due course. I've got a couple of others on the go at the moment: The Pilgrim and Harlow Carr. Things that got broken off a little while ago. Your garden certainly looks lovely since the creation only started at the end of '21. Lovely to be able to look back and now to think what it'll look like in a few years time. Interesting times ahead. Happy gardening, P.

@@peterhaymaker7562 Hi Peter, the only difference in the soft and hardwood I have found is that the soft, if they are going to root, do it very quickly in a matter of weeks and the hardwood take their time but can't say I've noticed an actual difference in the amount that do root, if that makes sense !? Sunny again here two days in a row what is happening haha. 38c in my greenhouse, short sleeve t shirt weather in June - who knew 🤣Hope you are having a lovey day, take care.

@@soulgirlktf Hi Linda, Re the rooting, it all makes perfet sense. I know with the hardwood cuttings it can take quite a time to get roots. The Pilgrim and Harlow Carr I said I'd potted up seem to be growing nicely but I haven't checked to see what roots they've got. A wait and see job. I just seem to be chasiing my tail at the moment. I don't kown if the dog's wagging the tail of the tail's wagging the dog. Overcast here today with a little rain overnight. Back to pruning my apple trees this afternoon - some of the new growth - and getting rid of some of the apples. Too many in a cluster. The June 'Drop' will start anytime soon too. Take care, enjoy your lovely garden, and I obviously don't have to tell you to keep warm. P.

Hi Linda. I honestly wouldn’t worry about getting shot of iceberg. I done it myself like I said to you before. I know last year i just put up with blackspot all over my garden, it was just an acceptance. But hopefully it won’t be like that every year. And you only need an unhealthy rose to start a spread. Iceberg was never ever healthy for me. Rural England that made me laugh. I have to say I’m considering one for the back fence where I currently have kiftsgate potted. Fallen gong you know when your a kid and you get a big box of Maltese’s for Christmas :) yeah that rose you have to fit your garden around her. Gardens looking fab Linda :)

@Jay_Jay Morning Jay Jay, yep Iceberg will be going I don't need the headache of de-foliating it I've given it a good chance, it's got to go. Which is a very good excuse to have a re-design I reckon haha and no doubt more roses. Rural England I can highly recommend, it's crammed with buds as you saw in my video and it does have an exquisite fragrance I think it would be fabulous for your back fence. Haha Maltesers it's true when we moved here I dug her up and brought her with me and I planted her in the centre of the back garden and she really suits that spot, it's definitely her garden now ;)
