Im so grateful to be able to witness Ross' strength for putting up with all of the digs thrown at him because at the end of the day he knew that him being on that show was going to open a lot of doors for gay boys like me in the entertainment journalistic industry. funny now how outdated and judged those WOMEN are now. haha. You won Ross.
@Deplorably Candid Your homophobia is glaringly obvious. Hope you’ve seen the advancements LGBT have made in the 6 years since you’ve made this comment and I hope it keeps you up at night. We both know it does.
Once when I was in NYC and went to The Monkey Bar for dinner (it famous for serving celebrities) I asked my server who was the worst to wait on, having been a server while in college I knew this is how you find out who people really are...............His response.....you guessed it Barbara Walters and he said EVERYONE hated waiting on her. This was in 2010.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed how obnoxious and homophobic Barbara was acting. It's like she was repulsed by his presence. Very uncomfortable.
Barbra should be ashamed of her behavior. she owes Ross an apology. Ross was great though cuz even when she was so incredibly rude (and unprofessional) he just kept on being wonderful. he came there to co-host on The View, and that's exactly what he did! he didn't let someone like her change that. he's a genuinely good person! and i'm sure that put Barbra in her place a little bit too cuz she didnt get a reaction from him! :) "be kind to all people, but be even kinder to unkind people" yay Ross!
Imagine bringing your mom since your so proud of this moment and then people around you didnt want you to be there. That's rough. Ross might be smiling and all but I sure do know he was crushed by this moment. It's just that he knows TV and knows when to fake it.
Ross has more control of the show then the 3 of them and he is so funny , I mean just listen to the crow responding to him ... now look at him on other shows :)
So when Ross was first introduced on The Tonight Show, it was common for Leno and his celebrity guests to make fun of him for being a big flamboyant gay guy with a woman's voice. In fact it was the running gag to crack jokes about him. No matter what show he went on, all of the tv hosts and celebrities would say things like what the ladies are saying in this video. When you watch these old clips from today's perspective, however, it's cringeworthy to see all of the disrespect and shade being thrown at him. I remember finding all of the jokes funny at the time, because he was so different and he seemed to take it well. Now it makes me wonder how he felt about it when the cameras were off. Most of those digs had to be pretty hurtful.
had he been "straight" to say that. and you jsut say Ross sit back. you're amazing! gays aren't a race or a type they're a people. you don't say "gays" you jsut call them people.
If you watch the interview with Ross and Heather McDonald on her Juicy Scoop show (on RU-vid) he tells how bad it really was behind the scenes. She was such a B@#*h to him.
Ross is adorable, funny and fabulous, haters you can hate him all you want, he doesn't care cause he's always happy through and through. He's already been through a lot in Idaho from homophobes like you guys and has grown from it. Gay people pretty much dominate hollywood, so deal with it.
Wow, Barbara Walters is so cruel: "He's the son you always wanted, right?" I wonder if she realizes how apparent her malice is or if she feels any regret or shame. What a vile, nasty person.
Barbara must have confused him with one of her several gay assistants who she emotionally tramples on daily. Also Joy, for someone who is supposed to be so liberal, the "you lost all your testosterone" comment was NOT appreciated!!
I Hate and despise that show... to be on that show is someone who wants to hold onto what's left of thier dying career... So glad Ross didn't stay on the show, he's better then that....
