Mine arrives to my FFL tomorrow, can not wait. I live in the Ozarks on 10 acres where we have a lot of snakes on the farm, this will be a great tractor gun. Add a 000 Buckshot load and keep it by the front door for home defense, either way it is going to be a fabulous addition to my collection. GREAT VIDEOS Marc!! Oh yeah, I love the holster, wish I could get one!!
Thanks! I know you'll enjoy it. I really want to test some buckshot and slugs soon. Feel free to contact me about a holster. My email is in the ABOUT section on my channel page.
@@blindfromthesun Thanks, blindfromthesun. I read the manual and have decided to do whatever I want to. I appreciate you warning me, but I'm just one of those kind of guys.😉
Those are pretty neat guns. I've been looking for one for a few weeks now and they are out of stock in my usual shops but they located one for me and I bought it yesterday. I'll try it out today or tomorrow when the rain stops.
Make My Day! I'm loving the Brawler. A nice sturdy micro red dot would be great on it. With the shotshell blast it would be great for Muzzleblast Monday. Good ejection on shotshells. 👍 🎯💥
Thanks, Bill! I'm loving it too! I think a micro dot would be more useful and reasonable than the Tru Glo. I want to shoot it at dusk sometime soon and make it a MBM entry. That ejector is sure launching them into a low earth orbit! 😂😂
@@marcthomas2482Nothing like filming behind a Brawler & suddenly get the smell of burnt flesh & realize you've got hot 410 brass where it shouldn't be. 😂🔥
Bro... The big smile on your face said it all! LOL! I'm supposed to pick mine up (hopefully) this Thursday or Friday. The only one problem. I just found out about a used taurus judge going for a really good price. Black, two inch cylinder and a three inch barrel. Well, there's only one thing to do... BUY BOTH OF THEM! LOL! Let me know what you think. Glad you're enjoying your new addition to the family. Stay safe and healthy. Great vid. Peace
I think you're making the right decision. 😄 I always rationalize gun purchases as investments. You can always trade or sell them later if need arises, or you just don't use them as much as before. Let me know what you think of the Brawler when you get it!
@@marcthomas2482 Well bro I've got good news and bad news. Bad news first. My local gun shop just found out that the order he placed for my Rossi Brawler is being backorder. The distributor said it was in stock only to realize that they were out of stock. AAAAAAHHHHH! Just venting. Lol! Now for the good news. I did pick up my Taurus Judge today. Two inch cylinder, matte black, used, but looks practical new. Got it for a great price and a couple of boxes of premium ammo came with it to boot! So gotta wait a little while longer to get my Brawler. Okay... So be it. In the meantime I'll live vicariously through you and your vids until I can get mine. (Smile) Keep the video coming bro. (Smile)
That is bittersweet. Total bummer about the Brawler, but very cool to get the Judge and some ammo. If I can find some slugs or buckshot, that's my next video. Take care, my friend.
The rifled barrel makes birdshot disperse like a sprinkler, having little effect after a few yards. What you want in that gun is #00 or #000 Buckshot, because the pellets stack single file in the hull, and are not negatively affected by the spin. At 21' I get baseball sized patterns with 4 pellets of #00. The Brawler is an absolute blast, and everyone who sees it wants to try it out. I reload my own .410 Buck, and bring a bunch with me for this reason.
Looks like a fun shooter and a nice looking holster. I would like to see you shoot some 410 slugs to see how they do. If you can . Thank you for the video. 👍🙂
How far away were u from the target? 45cl did they eject well! I like tgis gun! Does rossi make a more expensive one with different barrels! I just want 45lc only
Marc what powder did you load those double 390 round ball loads with? I think you could tailor the burn rate to that specific barrel. Alliant 2400 is a great 410 powder and would do very well in that brawler. Isn’t loading your own shotshells so much better? I’ve still been playing around with brass shell 16 gauge loads using buckshot and birdshot loads. Powder for my 16 gauge loads is 700x. I really enjoyed this video and will keep sharing it.
I used Lil' Gun. You are the second person in 24 hours to recommend Alliant 2400! I know what I'm picking up at Shyda's next trip. 😄 I do enjoy loading shotshells, probably 20 gauge more than .410, because I have the LEE loader. Thanks!
@@marcthomas2482 2400 will be better burn rate for that 9” brawler barrel. Lil gun better 410 powder for full size shotgun. Both will do pretty darn good in any 410 you use. I still want to reload for 20 gauge yet. Will probably get lee load all for 20 gauge.
That's just an upgrade of the older Matched Pair Pistol set they made years back without the extra .22lr barrel. I dig the upgrade to a picatinny rail and ejector. The old model just had an extractor.
Man, does that thing look like a lot of fun! And I like the idea of two round ballads headed straight for a bad guy. Not the most practical setup, but not everything has to be!
Good stuff, been lookin out for reviews since they launched, you're the only one really bein consistent lol. Glad to see it shootin, ordered mine yesterday. Just curious bud, what ya got there in the shoulder holster pard?
Thanks! I'm getting some views (which is cool for a goofy little channel) and having a lot of fun. That was my Super Blackhawk .44 in the shoulder rig. I did some load testing that I didn't upload yet.
@@marcthomas2482 good stuff! That's a fine firearm, I unfortunately just got an email stating my order for the brawler was canceled and told it went out of stock as I was ordering.... so I reckon I'll have to wait for the next go around.
Thanks! The trigger is not terrible. I'm curious to put a pistol scope on it and test at 20, 30, and 50 yards with 45 Colt. That test should try the trigger.
Thanks for watching Shawn! I need to get some more 45Colt ammo and test it at some greater distance. Maybe even plop a pistol scope on it and see what kind of accuracy I can get. Videos to come...
@marcthomas2482 most shots I'll get around here are 75 yards and in. 45 colt I'd plenty plentiful here too. Was thinking to get somethin like the Winchester defender 45 colt. 255 grain hollowpoint trucking around 1800 FPS
I'm not entirely sure. The pattern really spread with the shot I was using. I'm planning another range trip with a BIG piece of cardboard to get a better idea of how much it spreads.
I once owned a Super Commanche and shot Horaday self defense through it. About four shots is all I ever wanted. To much recoil. Now I am intetrested in the Brawler, but plan to shoot 2 1/2 inch OO buck. Should make it a lot easier.
From the end of the 3 inch 410 chamber to the muzzle. Short about a 1/4 inch crown (which is actually really nice). The rifling definitely affects the shot pattern, but the 45 Colt was pretty much on. I want to test some more distances, but I want to get more ammo first!
@@marcthomas2482 thanks for the reply, we have a stone wall in town like that there's a big restaurant golf course that it's actually called The Stonewall.
Curious to see 7.5 shot three inch at 10 feet. And 45 LC from the bench to see real accuracy. I mean, could you realistically hunt deer with this thing accuracy wise?
If I have 7.5, I'll try it on a big piece of cardboard. I may drop a scope on it, too, and try from the bench. With practice and the right load, I'd be okay with using it to deer hunt.
@@marcthomas2482 Thanks for the response! Just subbed you because of this Brawler content. I am especially curious about real hunting accuracy with 45 LC. The non-choked 410 is mostly snakes and fun.😁 That 9” barrel should get pretty good velocities even with non +P.
No local shops around here have them, looked online last night,Bud's had them in stock.I looked at Bud's about an hour ago,,out of stock.People are buying these up quickly.
Thanks, garageguy879! I'm glad I got back to the shop right away the next morning. I had a comment on the first video that another person was in that shop that afternoon looking for that gun. I got it first.
Thanks UJ! The ejector is sending them into a low earth orbit! I think a small dot would work pretty well and I like the ball results so far, but I want to try some buckshot and some slugs in future testing.
Thanks, Mike! At least they let you have some freedom up there. I'm not sure about the pattern on this thing for hitting moving game. Spreads out pretty good. I want to get a really big piece of paper or cardboard to really test the spread at 10,20, and 30 yards.
@marcthomas2482 Weapon of mass destruction, if they get anal on ya! Washington State ain't much better. How the hell do you get a 10 round M.1 carbine magazine?
The optic was intended more for judging the accuracy of the .45 Colt ammunition. I also thought it might better center the .410 shot, but that is all over the place. It's really all just for fun. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I hate to say, but you might be right. I really want to test some buckshot or even some good heavy #4. Birdshot will definitely be ineffective at any more than bad breath range. Still a good snake gun or would deter any unfriendly dog. Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for watching and commenting.
