I will stick with my Octatrack for sampling now. Way easier and more powerful. This module made my head hurt watching the video.

This way you get to have it in modular form. And Octatrack sounds like poo at 16 bit, aT 24 bit you only get 5 minutes of sampling, ASSimil8or does 190 something kHz...2,300 sampling seconds available at 48 kHz, etc...

@@willhurt3446 true well I’m saving for one now that I have a large modular system. I have Rossum Trident, Rossum Morpheus and Mob of Emus. They are complex but powerful and sound amazing! Maybe at Christmas sale get the Assimil8or.

Maybe there is a technical detail I am missing, but the waldorf blofeld can FM samples with other samples. But sometimes this is too much for it and it crashes lol.

There is no way to clock the Assimil8or for some reason or warping so it must have been a bitch to get that 120bpm clock to loop perfectly. Can you speak to that? I had a 1010 but sold it because of the sound quality and wanting individual outs since I primarily planned and do use this for drums and random percussive hits and sounds that would be near impossible to play live unless I patched half the synth on that one sound. But there is no way to loop like a drum break unless I suspect it was warped and cut PERFECTLY in Ableton and triggered just right on loop mode

Do you mean it lacks with the synchro clock? Thats a really important information for me as a ableton user. you have problems keeping it in sync, you mean? Greetz

Can I edit samples individually like loop points etc. When samples are loaded in zones?

The ER-301 is a whole modular ecosystem within a module. This is a sampler.

Hi, Julian - great question. This module does not have MIDI I/O, so you would need an additional CV/Gate to MIDI conversion module in order to do that. Hi, Sharul! Yes, you will be able to control level with the CV Control, no problem at all. There will be level control for the volume of modulation, and for the mix output level. Of course, that's just the beginning of all the different parameters the CV has control over on those units... others include bit depth and sample control to name a couple.
