Foreign affairs and domestic Agencies have totally separate funding. CONGRESS sets the budget for the Federal government. Specifically, the House. The House is currently GOP majority and Speaker Johnson has refused to return before the election to address emergency funding for FEMA after they failed to pass an actual budget for 2025. Speaker Johnson thinks campaigning is more important than helping Americans after a disaster.
Just to let you know, republican house speaker johnson is refusing to vote for additional fema funds. 40 billion dollars has been passed by the senate, democrat majority. Think about that when you vote. Speaker johnson also refused to put up for a vote on the bi partisan border bill written by republican senator lankford from oklahoma. Trump stopped him, saying, " we can't give biden a win"
@@BeakyFloof Yea Bidum and harris trying to buy votes and spending Fema money on wars doesn't have anything to short falls in Fema money right? So Stupid !
We just went through the same thing in WNC. We will never recover here… it’s been 3 weeks and people still missing, several deaths, no power, water, cell service. It’s absolutely horrible. No words.
Born and raised in Weaverville, in East Tennessee now but WNC will always be home to me. Been praying so hard for yall! Now adding NM to the list as well! God speed friends 🧡
This has got to stop we know it’s weather modification to kill us off and take the land mess with the election the evil list goes on we must stick together the government is not going to help we must come together and help us each of us can play a part in helping if we don’t then we are done we’re Americans we know how to help others and we know what to do to come back let’s do this now
I’m sorry. I’m on the gulf coast of Florida and understand. When the media leaves people forget about you. But there’s a lot of floridians up there helping wnc right now because they know recovery isn’t over. It will take a long time to rebuild but it’s possible.
Thanks for this. There are those who aren't from the high desert who just don't understand the speed, power and ferocity a flash flood really has. I got lucky as I'm in a higher part of town but was still an inch from being flooded in my home. Watching it unfold last night was scary as hell, I feel for those folks downtown. They have a long road ahead.
@pete, that all sounds pretty conspiratorial, a better conclusion might be climate changes, all natural, it happened 100 years ago, were they after lithium then?
I'm here in Roswell, and I'm one lucky man. I knew it was bad (the rain pretty much made our apartment shake) but apparently it was just a glimpse of what really hit. Thanks for sharing this.
Very well done, thanks for this. We live in Roswell, got lucky that we're on higher ground north of Goddard High. So much loss w/ this flood, going to take a long time to recover from this. Wishing all those that were seriously affected by the storm and the families involved the best through this tragedy. Hats off to the police, fire and EMTs getting to those that needed immediate help, and to those citizens that went way above and beyond to help their community.
We live in Roswell as well and are new to the area. Our home is in the North Washington area. Do you know if everything is okay on that side? I read your comment about being north of Goddard High School. I google map it from our home, and I think we should be okay. Both hubby and I are out of town due to work. He is on his way back to Roswell. I am glad you are safe.
FEMA is out of money. I’m in Ruidoso. After the fire here and the hurricanes. I applied for help 5 months ago..the last time I went in they said sorry they changed the rules a couple of days ago. you get nothing. All I asked for was motel money back.. less than $1000 I was evacuated 11 days. 2 nights of those I had to sleep in my car. I’m disabled living on a fixed income. I am blessed my house was saved, by one house beside me and one house behind me on the other side of those is gone. Praying for Roswell 🙏🛐✝️

New Mexicans are very good at coming together in times of crisis and disaster. Worry not, brethren; we will do whatever we can to help take care of you guys.
OMG thank you for sharing this news. I lived in Roswell in 1972 and it rained and flooded on our home at 309 E Conner. I'm am praying for you all. Stay strong good people!
I don't know how old you are, but we never, ever put out address on the internets, that's just inviting people to come and harass you. take it down please..thank you
I most certainly will be praying for Roswell. Incredible drone footage and citizen journalism. I've heard absolutely nothing about this in Colorado. Our temps have been dropping into the thirties at night and I have been harvesting green beans, tomatoes and peppers in full bloom and production. Grateful but stymied because that is not normal for late October in Colorado. Very bizarre weather conditions for sure. Thank you for getting the word out that Roswell needs help.
Hi Johnathan. I’m right here in the middle of all this in Roswell, NM It’s good seeing you. Thank you for sharing this. Wow! My downstairs was flooded but not as bad as some people. I live out in the country and haven’t seen the town yet. It’s devastating 🙏🏻
I’m in town currently. Lived here my whole life, and my entire property is ruined. Fences knocked over, gates destroyed, several inches of mud. We got hit by the levy break and the water nearly flooded our house but we luckily had our house slightly higher than the water rose. Hell, a Sierra Volunteer truck got stuck and was abandoned right outside my house. Storm threw barbed wire and massive fencing all over the street, so I had to run out there and start moving it so people could get through. I was at Roswell High last night too around when the rain began to get worse (about 7:00) and the water was ankle deep and even seeing the curb was impossible.
@@thefogasm My gosh....I am deeply sorry to hear your property is ruined. ▪️Is the levy break, a Dam? If so, which one? ▪️It's coming out in W NC that the three dams used in or around the W NC mountains were released.....I believe either during or before hurricane I just heard the report recently. My reliance on news is from either people living in affected area or boots on the ground VOLUNTEERS. I hope you are receiving help at least from volunteers. 💟☮️🕉️
So many dam’s and Levi breaks all over the place. The increasing number of the Levee in damn problems let me to ask if we lived anywhere near a damn if it is above us. I am really sorry that this happened. I can’t imagine what you’re going through.
Didn't hear a Word about this on any news. I remember it as a pretty town. Just heartbreaking to see this. My thoughts and prayers are with all who were impacted by this. Since I'm on a small SS check, its all I have to offer. Take care💕💕
Oh no. This is the first I am hearing about this. I pray for miracles, speedy recovery and healing for this wonderful city. I go through Roswell every summer with family and friends. This breaks my heart to see such good people suffer from these devastating moments. 😢
It's not biblical at all. This is a natural cycle for the area and people simply don't take into account these cycles when they build up these areas. It's human ignorance, not God, that did this. It's also probably not a good idea to attribute things to him when you have 0 proof he had a hand in it. He'll let us know when it's his hand involved.
@@sophiaelayne9984 biblical in a descriptive sense maybe, but these storms are not "natural" occurrences. "They" have weaponized the weather against us, it's not just here in the states, please get educated.
I'm a Roswell resident and have lived here for 39 years The amount of rain we got in 6 hours was about half of our annual rainfall. My family and I are not badly affected (luckily), but this was a truly unprecedent storm.
I sw a post and texted a friend about this. NO ONE knew anything because the "news" wasn't saying a WORD! Hmmm .. sound familiar? What's there? NC has Lithium. What does THIS area have? Praying for all of you!!, and whoever is NEXT.
I live in Moriarty, New Mexico. We got 3 inches of rain in less than an hour. With hail. I live on a hillside on the prairie. No flooding here at my house. Filled my 2000gl. Tank in an hour!
I grew up in Roswell and now live near Albuquerque and still have a lot of family in Roswell. Thank you for sharing this. I hope the roads open soon so i can go there and check on family.
We survived it. Prayers to the family of those who were lost. I was almost swept down my street Trying to get my 4x4 into the driveway and sacrificed that same trucks transmission pulling others to safety. God bless our world and town. So many close to me lost everything. Keep us in your prayers
Just unbelievable. I lam a little east of the NM line and pass through there pretty often. Prayers for all. I would have never thought Roswell would flood like this. Thanks for the video. Safe travels to you.
I live in western Colorado, and this is the first I have heard about the flood in Roswell; it's just hard to imagine the devastation there. My heart goes out to everyone there, and it just makes me sick to witness what we are seeing happen in what have been generally safe places in America. What area will be next? Thank you for your excellent video, and I will share it right now. May God bless you.
Thank you for sharing this quality footage with the world. As a regular visitor, the residents are wonderful and deserve better than what FEMA is going to give them.
I'm afraid we're next in the crosshairs for a huge life loss event. Even though the fires were devastating, they weren't "biblical", more like retaliation for voting to secede from the state. My money is on a earthquake/tsunami, and like all the other events lately, there will be no warning...be prepared.
Of course you’re in our prayers. I survived the Tubbs wildfire in 2017, don’t wait for FEMA. Get after it as a community, get the word out and tell people what you need. Get all your documents in order because FEMA wants them to process. The sub-lease renters often get screwed because of you can’t prove residency by a lease or utility bill, address on your ID/license at you won’t get help.
Friday night we were coming from Bloomfield, there was lightning coming from the north to the east side of New Mexico. Pray for my neighbors in Roswell
I'm in Augusta, weeks after Helene without power, trees on every other house... I know people living in tents. If you're waiting on FEMA good luck. They did send an application for an SBA loan...
I was wondering what happened to Georgia as I knew South Carolina was bad with trees down and power outages. I could not find much information on Georgia but I could see your power was out for a while. I am in Maine we had a strange windstorm that knocked some power poles down
Thank you so much for this! My family and I live in Roswell, but I am currently out of state on a business trip. We were one of the lucky ones as my family is all safe and accounted for. Continued prayers as Roswell rebuilds. 🫶🏼
I pray for all the people that have been affected by this flood. My heart goes out to each and every one of you. I used to live there many, many years ago. My son was born there my ex. Husband lives there and I had to call yesterday to make sure that he was safe. This broughttears to my eyes
I know Roswell very well; I still have family there, and my parents lived there for 10 years. It's disturbing and very sad to see this unique city in such condition. I keep my positive thoughts on the people of Roswell.
My husband and I were just there for a racing event on Thursday and Friday. We left out Saturday morning just before the storms hit. I can’t believe all this. That town is so cool and everyone we encountered was amazing and super friendly. It’s heartbreaking to see everything.
Pray for the WHOLE area! My sister-in-law lives in Dexter, a small town in the farm area just outside of Roswell. She was paralyzed when she was 10 years old, and is now a senior citizen. There are several rivers that surround the farm communities, so they were also flooded. She was stranded on her bed when the flood waters came. Her neighbor could not make it to her house and could not reach her by phone. She yelled from her home to a rescue crew driving through the flood waters, to check on her. They had to break down the door, but they were able to rescue her. Her home is flooded, but we are grateful to the men who rescued her. 😌
From the NETHERLANDS, i,ve been 10 times in ROSWELL , i,m horrified and schocked to see the damage and devastation caused by the rainstorm, let,s hope the new mexico authorities will take their responsibility and provide money and supplies to help the citizens of ROSWELL, and rebuild the city! Our thoughts are with you , we pray for you!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing. I’m in ABQ and have been here off & on since I was a kid. I’ve only seen flooding a couple times here and nothing like Roswell. That’s crazy post hurricane flooding.
I'm so sorry to see this happen in the quiet and peaceful town of Roswell. Such a wonderful place. Spring River runs right through that city and clearly overflowed to cause much of the devastation. I attended HS and college about 5 blocks north of that river and recognize most of the areas affected. May God's supernatural healing power move in now, to strengthen the people, so that they can carry on through this natural disaster. Transcendent peace to all.
Just subscribed, the way you shot this coupled with familiarity you have with Roswell made this a very well made piece. So unfortunate the subject matter though. Thanks
This breaks my heart. We shop in Roswell, little over 100 miles away. Our son went to NMMI for high school. NMMI has extensive tunneling system under it, I wonder how it all fared. We had planned to go to Sam's Saturday morning but had other stuff to do so moved it to Sunday. Just hard to wrap our minds around it. Our prayers are with our Roswell neighbors. Love from Clovis.
Praying for Roswell. So much destruction, it's just heartbreaking. I hope they find everyone. Please Lord bless every person that is suffering from this flood and all the flooding throughout the country
Reading through the comments a levee also broke. Dams and levees Have had a lot of problems lately across the world. The one comment or the man described the rain shook his house is interesting. Another man caught over 8 inches of rain. Then you have Italy and France is underwater right now.
