He wasnt wrong when he said the differences between an aussie built Rotary and a kiwi rotary vehicle lol. I went to my 1st Jambo event at Willowbank and offtap picked out the Nz built Rotaz haha. Superslammed, mirror tints, loud af with whizzing Gilmour belt drive and slick Rims

Rotary rescue is a great idea. Helping people out in the process of making your content. Sometimes this type of assistance is what a person needs to get the motivation to continue working on their projects that have been sitting in the shed. Good stuff mate 👍

Deff run a big juicy intercooler. Ash is right. Air temps straight off the turbo are epic. All good if your fuel cooling with methanol. Air temps are so high in auz like you mentioned so you really want to help them as much as possible.

Im another Kiwi working/living in Aussie, living the dream they say😅 Awesome concept of checking out home builds in QLD and hopefully all other states as well! I have just built a hilux rear for my old Holden Ute. Using R31 calipers and EL falcon rear discs(299mm) you can get the caliper adapter plates from JP Fabrications. Will need at least a 15" wheel though

I'd definitely put it on MSD ignition and coils, even way back in the old NZ rotaries in DX Corollas/Escorts etc MSD ignition and coils were the go to with ease of use and reliability.

@@misfirerotary Haven't got a lot of experience with them myself, but in all the older carby set ups back in the days, the tried, true n trusted method was MSD ignition/coils and a motec, probably is smarter/better stuff out but price on ECUs and Ignition systems can get hefty.

Offsets and spacers 808/Rx3 front struts are interchangeable with 1st gen Rx7 Juts have to swap strut top over. Rx3/808 is 3 bolt Ist gen 7 is 4 bolt These just swap back and forth no problem Rx7 factory brakes are bigger and ventilated so you get a free brake upgrade Also the struts are shorter by 2in So automatically you get lowered 2in Big free win win Note : S3 front struts with even bigger brakes and thicker discs than S2 Rx7 will change the stud pattern to 4:114.3 The thickness of the discs along with slight increase in wheel bearing pushes the wheel hubs outboard which changes wheel offset from the deep dish old school Rotas R100,Rx2,3,4,5,7s1,7s2 that run 4/110 stud pattern and run old school low offset +20ET. S3 Rx7 run high offset +40ET FCRx7 rear brakes/discs/calipers bolt straight onto S3Rx7 FC strut braces bolt straight onto 1st gen Rx7

I had a CD009 and was in the process of fitting into my RX3. However, I changed plans due to the considerable amount of cutting to the tunnel required to make it fit. The original console, which I wanted to keep would never fitted. The CD009 are an excellent gearbox but very large. I sold it purchased a brand new R154 from Toyota, had that rebuilt with upgraded selectors, etc. A built R154 will handle plenty of grunt and still fit within the factory RX tunnel. Currently running behind a 20BT with no issues.

Im a kiwi sparky and yip I like tinkering on my RX project. I think its the hands on in whatever trade you do you create stuff from nothing and bit of knowledge using tools daily you not need to be a mechanic necessarily but have a vision of picturing a final product & getting ya mitts grubby.
