Here’s a tip I used when doing drawing rotation. Mark your centre of rotation as usual, but draw a small arrow up (North). Then rotate your tracing paper whatever degrees, e.g. 90 degrees. (You’ll know you have the right direction if the small arrow now points to the right (East)). It’s subtle but helps heavily for questions with multiple transformations

@@mrcontentclipss before u start rotating the tracing paper, draw a little arrow pointing to the north, then start rotating the tracing paper as u have been asked, the arrow will help u to decide when shall u stop rotating the tracing paper.

PLEEEEAAASEEEEEEE because especially at home when you’re doing practice questions no one has tracing paper at home (not that i know of) so it’s difficult

I can’t use tracing paper for my exams! If you need help with this, draw a faint pencil line from the centre of rotation to any point of the given shape (label the point w a letter so u don’t get confused). If it says rotate clockwise 90 degrees for example, turn that PENCIL LINE 90 degrees clockwise. Wherever the point ends up is the new point. I hope this helps a tiny bit

If you wanna rotate it 90 degrees clockwise do (x,y) --> ( y, -x) 90 degrees anticlockwise: (x,y) ---> (-y,x) 180 degrees clockwise or anticlockwise: ( x,y) --> (-x,-y)

You can try using angles and doing it visually but the method I use here tends to be the easiest method! How frustrating to lose just 1 mark! Still that’s incredible 🥺🙏🏼

Absolutely! Topics don’t change between exam boards, maths is maths, the papers just look a bit different and questions are presented and worded differently between the different boards 😁🙏🏼

Yes you can draw a connecting line from the rotation point to one of the vertices and rotate that by the required angle 😁🙏🏼

If you are talking about an exam setting, every student is entitled to tracing paper that should be provided at the start of the exam, if not, you ask for it 😁🙏🏼

Tracing paper is part of the equipment that you are entitled to in a GCSE exam, you simply have to ask for it! If you ask your teachers they are allowed to ask the invigilators to put tracing paper on every exam desk 😁🙏🏽
