Rothenburg ob der Tauber is one of the best preserved and most beautiful medieval towns in Germany, world known tourist destination. It was founded in the 12th century, free imperial city from the 13th century. Rothenburg is surrounded by fortified walls and has scenic location overlooking the Tauber river, the town is on the popular Romantic Road in Bavaria.

I love this city, one of my favorites in Germany. I lived 10 years in Frankfurt and I used to go there quite often during summer time, just have lunch and walk around.

Every scene is stunning of this magnificent mediaeval town. I walked those walls and streets back in 1990 with far less tourists. Thanks for bringing back some memories of this beautiful town. Cheers from the Train Lord in South Australia

I visited Rothenburg in Aug 2018 and was so impressed by this charming medieval 'walled city'. It's smaller than you might think. You can walk from one end of the town to the other at its widest point in less than 30 minutes.

@@dongordo63 I know! 😊 Just wanted to add that information. I live only half an hour from Rothenburg. Half of my life I lived less than 20 minutes from there ... didn’t count, but I visit Rothenburg at least every few months 😊

I have have many weeks for this video Milosh, maybe you know what I mean ;-). I must say, your video is excellent. Rothenburg is only one of this typical old towns in Germany. Nearby to Rothenburg are also some other Little towns. Not as big and famous as Rothenburg, but also in historical style. Sadly, I must be honest to say that I have seen Rothenburg only in the evening on a rainy day. But I am motivated to go there soon again when the sun is shining. Milosh, have a nice weekend and many greetings from a german friend and his wife.

Thanks for posting this video. Enjoyed it very much. I visited Rothenburg years ago before we had high-def video. I'll forward a link to my daughter who plans to visit Germany in a year or so. I loved the lack of narration and, especially not continually showing anarrator.

My grandfather was born in a small village outside the walls of Rothenburg. My roots are there. I live about 30 minutes from Rothenburg and visit it every few months. I don’t like cities at all - Rothenburg is the only exception 😆

We are all lucky, that USA & England air force have forgotten or missed and didn't bombard and ruin this precious town, the architecture of Rothenburg (as they did with Heilbronn, Dresden, Hamburg & many other cities of Germany, bombardind and ruining its old architecture)
