There is a good chance it sucks warmer air than stock set up. Does nothing but increase throttle response.

Any thoughts on where I could get that oil separator from the stock zl1 intake? When installing my roto fab I broke that oil separator piece

Hi, what are the claimed HP gains at the wheels for this by RotoFab? 5-8HP? Also is an ECM tune required?

No tune required. I think they claim 15rwhp

@@GriFA725 the Engine Control Module (computer) in the car. There are parameters that can be modified to get more benefit from certain modifications. For instance when you know the air charge is going to be cooler you can re-calibrate the system to take that into account. Usually, though, simple bolt on modifications like this intake, don't require it. Now if you were changing blower pulleys, etc. that actually change the physical operation of the hardware then a tune would be needed to change timing, fuel injector duty cycle, etc. as there would be more air being forced in at a certain RPM versus stock.

@@GriFA725 Nice. I haven't done any mods to my ZL1 yet. Honestly it's pretty damn fast as is but may do a cold air intake since it's cheap and i can install that in my driveway.

Did you run into fitment issues with edge of Rotofab unit pushing up hood? Seems like overall height is too tall.

Hey Matt how many of these cold air intake that you have installed have thrown codes after install without a tune performed for the good cai like cold air inductions or Roto fab and so on thx in advance
