Thank you for letting me know Derrick. You just need to take your time and think it all through. It was a much bigger job than I first thought. Good luck with your rebuild. Kind regards Paul

Hi Paul, The most important thing is to do what you enjoy. If making videos is a chore, give it a break for a while and concentrate on doing what brings you joy. A lot of restoration channels disappear whilst others take an extended break and come back refreshed. Perhaps you need to step away from the camera, rather than the chisel. Cheers

Thank you, very good advice, I have one more in edit then I will be taking a break and concentrate on the car. I am not surprised that you are a carpenter, I have never come across a carpenter who was a bad egg. And you have ticked the box again. Kind regards Paul

Thank you for your continued support which is great and very welcome. However, I am seriously considering dropping out of making more videos as it is a considerable amount of time and effort for very little feedback. I have had my channel for 2 years now and have of only managed to reach 360 subscribers. RU-vid use my video space for free advertising for all kinds of rubbish and I am sure that potential subscribers are thinking that I must be racking in the money from the advertising. I share links to my videos on about 10 different Facebook groups which total over 20k people and still I am only reaching very small percentage of what should be people who are supposedly interested in this subject as I target Facebook groups around my passion. I originally started this journey to share what I am doing and to help and inspire other people who maybe have project cars collecting dust in their garages. But it really doesn't feel like it is working or worth the effort. I find (as I am sure you can tell) myself being consumed by it all which is not a healthy situation when I have a car to finish. I find my focus is being constantly challenged into "what video can I do next to get more followers?" and sadly I don't have a hamster who can TIG weld while jugging jelly beans 🤷‍♂️ I am sorry for my little rant but even though I don't know you personally I do feel that out of my small group of followers you have been the most consistent with your support. Thank you. Kind regards Paul

Paul--I can see where it would be disheartening to put in the obvious effort you have and get only luke warm response. I don't do videos, but can appreciate the time and dedication it must take. Your videos seem informative and well put together to me, and should really be a valuable resource to other folks with similar interests. You mentioned Facebook, but have you tried posting on some of the forums like Triumph Experience? The 10 Facebook groups likely have a lot of common members, so the Facebook universe may be a lot smaller than 20K. I wouldn't blame you for at least taking a break, if only for mental health, but I would hope to see you back at some point.. And thanks for the shout out, by the way. Ed

@@elhollin Thank you for your kind words Ed. I believe that the fact that RU-vid post adverts on my videos is detrimental to an small channel as, either people don't like to be interrupted by ads when watching something, so could stop watching, or they think that the channel must be getting paid for the ads being shown and lose interest. I don't really know. But you understand where I am coming from and I thank you for that. I have one more video to complete the hub build then I will just crack on with the car with maybe an occasional quick round up on the progress. This has come to a head recently as I have found myself thinking about what video I can make to grab people's interest instead which isn't what I originally set out to do. Sadly I don't have a Hamster who can TIG weld while juggling jelly beans. Kind regards Paul
