Usually the inside of the rotors rust first as it doesn’t get much air and wouldn’t dry as quick as the outside. You may want to crawl under the car to spray inside too.

Thank you! There are 2 options as far as we have found. 1. - use this after every wash 2. - just forget about the rusty brakes until the first time you hit the brakes at which time it comes off (then blow the dust out of your rim barrel with a blower) Just by the nature of steel it is going to rust immediately after drying from being wet unless you use this stuff. Any coating you apply to the pads will come off the first time you hit the brakes.

Hi, I just got this and used it. I followed all the instructions and yet these seems to be the usual flash rust dripping into my barrels. I think this does stop it on the ‘face’ on the rotors but there’s nothing that can be done on the back of the rotors and also the inside of the drilled/slotted rotors where water does get in due to pressure washing. The majority of the flash rush drips from the inside of the rotors I believe. So very annoying. I don’t know if I am doing anything wrong. I applied this at the very end of the wash right when before I am going dry the car, by that time there is quite a lot of heavy rust formed already on the rotors. I’ll try next time to apply it right after washing the wheels. My regimen usually is to wash and clean the wheels first, then pre rinse the car, foam the car, then contact wash with car shampoo.

Yes, it is important to do wheel by wheel. So after you finishes washing a wheel you do not want to allow the rust to form. This is to be used BEFORE it begins forming for best results.

How is it driving straight after the wipe down? Does this glaze the brakes?

No, no problem at all. The second you use your brakes this product is vaporized and no longer exists on your brakes.

Is this safe for use on a motorcycle stored outside? It won’t effect breaking performance?

Correct, it will not affect break performance and is removed the first time you use the brakes.

Will this stop the scraping noise from my brakes after the car sits a day or two in damp weather? I assume it is from flash rusting.

How long does the treatment work? I am new in Florida . This is the first time I have experienced rotor rust.

It works on the faces of the rotors until you hit the brakes the first time. It's literally designed to avoid the flash rust for people that are very particular about these things. With regards to how long it lasts on raw steel where brakes do not touch and rip it off, it will last months.

It is immediate. No, its temporary. As soon as you use the brakes the metal on metal will remove this product and if they get wet again then its back to normal.

Don't forget a brake rotor has 2 sides to it and it will be just as rusty on the inside, it's always best to remove the wheel and do a complete brake inspection while you are applying this product, failure to clean the rust from both sides of the rotor could lead to uneven rotor wear. Just saying!

Hmmm I am not so sure about any uneven rotor wear resulting from using the product. That does not add up. While it would be wonderful to be able to dissemble and detail and reassemble your wheels every week after a wash, that is just not realistic for anyone I have ever met. With regards to people who are very particular about how their car looks after a detail, yes this is a tool to avoid any flash rust and avoid the pet peeve of many of us. Some will allow it to rust, drive the car around the block 30 minutes later and then blow the dust back off with a blower. Others do not want to do that or have better things to do with their time so they spray this on. Of course there are many people who could care less about the ugly flash rust that happens and they just ignore it. This product is for particular people who care very much about the prefect detail when they wash their car.

Yes sir, not an issue - on any raw steel areas it makes no difference and will solve the rust issue.

It is common for rust on hybrid car brakes because the pads are barelyly ever applied. I think brake rotors need to be made of stainless steel or something to completely eliminate rust.

He’s doing it wrong. You’re not supposed to wipe the rotors after you apply the solution because you are losing the product onto the towel,rather dry the rotors with a blower.

Completely unnecessary. The surface rust rubs off the discs within a few feet of driving.

As mentioned in the video it is unnecessary for most people however really detail oriented customers cant stand to have it sitting still looking rusty even for a day and some do not like to have rust dust in the barrels. So, this is for those that love the option to avoid the rust in the first place. Thanks for watching!

@@SkyCarCare dude. You’re using a product to get rust off your wheels. Of course you’re not going to take your wheel off every time you wash your car. But if your aim is to clean the rust, why not take the wheel off? I mean you are reaching through the spokes. This keeps chemicals off your wheels unnecessarily. 😂🤣

When you’re doing volume detailing like mobile it wouldn’t make sense to take every customers wheels off that doesn’t sound right. It’s annoying when u detail a nice car with more exposed rotors like Porsche and they turn brown right after the wash.

Incorrect, it doesn't exist for you ;). For some people they love this solution. Even amongst our own team here.... Some of us are happy to just take the car around the block for a spin and then blow the rust dust back off the wheel however others LOVE the idea they can get it exactly perfect. Mainstream people could care less... but a lot of our customers are very particular and really care about the details. Have a great day!
