Shuck thanks guys;-). Its not as green as people think though unfortunately. Alot of run off from farms have damaged out waterway's etc. Still a mint place to live though.
@@Neekz_ Love NZ - have visited 3 times. The most daring thing I did was the Queenstown jetboat trip and taking the helm of NZ40 racing yacht in Auckland.
and then you get the obese a hole who hits someone from behind. They need to regulate the flow a bit more. SOmeone comes full barrel into someones back when they slow to stop, its Greenberg and Betterman time
Brings back fond memories. Was here back in 2013 with 38 High School students from The Fiji Islands. It was one of the highlights if our 14 days tour! The view at the top is spectacular. We went up by cable cars.
Half my family live there so almost every year we go to Rotoroua, and the best part is we don't need a hotel - we go and stay in one of my relative's houses! 😃I have been on this very Luge. I did the Advanced/Hard one!
Would you believe this was even more dangerous? I did this when they just had two courses beginners and advanced! I did advanced my first time out and I saw so many people wreck on the way down it was insane people just screaming for help as you fly by them at like 50 miles an hour! Lol 😂 when I was done my stepdad that did it with me that finished a few minutes later we just stood there in shock and we gave each other a hug and that might of been the first and only time I’ve ever hugged him? We were just happy to be alive! 😂
Yea I've been scared to death watching some people riding those bikes(?) I felt like, how blessed they were for not getting any accidents. And I hope everyone stays safe. Eventhough it is fun to watch but can we make it slower tho? I'm glad people in this video made it slower.
Went here pre-covid and did these tracks many many times. It's not that dangerous. I was passing probably 10-15 people each time (some people are very slow) It's a bunch of fun and worth the trip, New Zealand is beautiful.
@@camillel8625 You can’t sue anybody in New Zealand it’s actually a law! So that’s why bungee jumping and all these other crazy extreme things came about. You could do things there that you can’t do in so many different countries because there’s no repercussion for the company that sponsors it. You should look it up you wouldn’t believe the things they let you get away with there for an adrenaline rush! 🤯
@@staceyrata6624 Trumpers haha! Love it! I'm in the US but Seattle is about as far from Trump as it gets. But I agree that some idiot would try to sue if they got even a scratch and ruin it for everyone.
😃WOW that thing goes on forever!😌I'd give back all the roller coaster rides I've had in my life just for a place like that close by!!😂SOOO much fun 😦Look out for that 🙏treeee✌😇💖🍀🔮🐦
My wife & I visited NZ Jan,Feb,March 2020,we visited Rotorua, went up on the Gondola, absolutely fab place,I was unable to go on the Luge, but my wife did, with some more of my NZ family, loved it, Magic 👍👍👍👍
Always double check your brakes. One run I had was a nightmare because I had no control at the bends. Wiped out several times even though I was doing my best to slow it down
I went there in 2020 such a valuable experience and going back soon I would highly recommend going to Rotorua just for the luge and the beautiful scene
It reminds me of 5 year ago. Our family enjoyed the riding and wonderful view … also hot spring which has some particles in water , staff said it is not skin.
another time a bus load of elderly koreans were on track and to slow down you pull the handlebars toward you and release to speed up. something was lost in translation and they came speeding up to a bend 3.34 in this video, and simply let go which stops you in your tracks immediately. i came round the bend to carnage, old women on the track moaning, flipped up luges, it bought tears to my eyes, never laughed so much i almost crashed myself. good times
All them poor saps going down slowly, I am glad the video taker and your friend both were speed demons, there's only one way to attack this ride, as fast as possible lol
We went here as a group of us in 2016 from the hostel we were staying at. It was great fun, I had a massive crash and got some killer bruises. But what a laugh!
Missed this Amusement Park when in NZ , in 2015. Its a beautiful country with too much to see & do. Get ready to melt those numbers on your older credit cards... I felt it fairly expensive there...but worth it !!!
Yep, no doubt there are more affordable countries you can visit, but agree it’s totally worth it! Beautiful scenery, lovely food/wine and warm and friendly locals. We can’t wait to go back!
It be REALLY GREAT FUN!!! to have one of similar here in the U.K. But, with at LEAST!!! a 15 or proberbly a 30 second gap between each rider. For the sake of SAFETY!!! LOOKS Great FUN ANYWAY.!!! 😃😃😃😃😄😄😄😄👍😁
took some school kids there and a boy put his foot out to steady himself and it caught fire on the track. there was a plume of smoke the rest of the way down.
In America the "slow down" signs would be interpreted as "try something extra stupid without regard for anyone else". I wish we weren't so dumb in the United States so we could have something like this here. Now, hold my beer and watch this!!!
Are these motorized? Watching them “controlled” start...it appears they have something as a mover. Or, is the start inclined? It appears relatively flat. 🙂
Just wondering. Is there no protection for people around curves or close to trees, tunnels, etc? It seems like a cart could hit things easily enough if off course. Secondly, why are people allowed to pass? Seems so risky.
I don't really think you need that much protection. The karts are slow and the center of balance is very low so even if you hit a curb at speed, you'll just stop or the kart will break. Using a bicycle at a street is probably more dangerous than this.
Yep - pull back the handle bars towards you & it lifts the rubber type brake in the front to allow the luge to move due to gravity. To stop you move handle bars forward. If you accidentally let go the luge immediately stops. It's a simple trolley type luge with wheels, & front rubber brake that scrapes along the concrete if handlebar is released.
Rotorua, New Zealand - my home town. It's called Syline Luge on Mount Ngongotaha. It's not a very tall mountain & you take a gondola up.They went on the slow track (it's actually slower than it looks) but there is a faster 1 which is advanced. Very safe. Adults tend to be heavier so they overtake the children easily. Toddlers can sit in with their adult parent.
The best day to go is when it pouring rain... no 1s there .. a but of soap on the track and ye have a lot of fun ... drifting every corner and with a wee hills off the side of each corner .. you might just end up over a bank in blackberry bruised and covered in mud... check my channel in a few weeks as ill be heading up to the luge make some videos..fun fun
