I wouldnt call RC spartan kinda metal. Thats more about Firewind with the albums like Few Against Many etc. RC is some sort of nietzschean metal with a big variety of influences, mostly Mediterranean cultures.

Absolutly correct! There are so many songs that have similar phrasing and riffs etc. This is RC's signature sound after years of maturing. Its savage! Just enjoy it and stop whinging. If you prefer older rotting christ then go listen to the mighty contract.

Even though I love RC, the best of theirs (in my opinion) was Thy mighty contract. I saw them many many times live, but their best concert was back in 1996 with Samael and Moonspell. Maybe it is because I am an old school fossil. but I definitely agree with your opinion! I do not like comparing bands an saying this one is rip off the another. Last time I heard this was a couple of years ago, when people were saying Abigor´s Leytmotif Luzifer is too much Mayhem - ish. As a fan of both bands - and owner of complete discographies of these bands on CDs, I was just shaking my head. People should enjoy music instead of putting up quarrels.
