Rottnest Island is beautiful and mostly untouched piece of paradise off the coast of Perth, Western Australia. Thank you very much Craig for sharing this excellent video of Rottnest Island. I can see very clearly you love what you do and your very good at it too. I’ve just subscribe to your channel and look forward to watching your next video.
Thank you for your kind words Charlie. I’m really happy you loved my video and subscribed to my channel. I will publishing a lot more videos in the very near future.
I’m so happy you loved it. Everything worked out pretty well in this vlog. Little Jimmy the Quokka is a big celebrity on Rottnest Island. Everyone wants a selfie with him. 👍😊
What a fantastic place - so beautiful! - very interesting info about the lighthouse in particular the reflectors (this is the moment that you rang Craig while I was dictating this message! hahaha)... I learnt all about that what I was learning to sail decades ago and it is still currently used on charts as the guy says; the flashes etc are written down for example '4s' (by memory without looking it up) mean's four short flashes per minute. I'd totally forgotten the bulb itself doesn't flash, it's the angles of those fantastic reflectors! Very interesting - love it! Speak soon mate. Cheers for adding a link to our collab video at the end also 👍
Thanks Steve for your valuable comments. I absolutely loved the guided lighthouse tour. I certainly learnt a lot about lighthouses thank you to Peter our excellent guide. I really happy you enjoyed my video.
Thank you Namita for your lovely comment. I'm really happy you enjoyed my video on Rottnest Island. Maybe one day Adheesh and yourself can come to Perth Australia for a holiday and check out Rottnest Island for yourselves. I don't think my editing is perfect but I do believe I'm slowly getting better at it video by video.
Gorgeous scenery & camera work esp in the lighthouse & tour...nice! thanks for taking us. I liked the singing too. It is a long way to the top..lol. Fun and good information for travelers. looking forward to more .
Hi Nilesh, The dark greenish colours in the waters surrounding Rottnest Island that you can see is called seagrass meadows. A form of seaweed. Many large seagrass meadows are found in Rottnest’s bays. These underwater meadows form a noticeable part of our marine coastal environment. There are nine species of seagrass found around Rottnest. Like meadows on land, seagrass meadows are highly productive and support extensive food webs. They also help with coastal stability. Many different fish live in the meadows permanently like the Cobbler, Rough Leatherjacket and Gobbleguts. Sea turtles rest here and this habitat is also a nursery area for the juveniles of lots of species. I hope this explains about all the different colours your seeing in the water around Rottnest Island.
Tigerlily MSP I took the 7.30am ferry and returned on the last ferry which departs Rottnest Island at 4.30pm. That gives you pretty much a full day on the island to check out all the beaches etc.
