Your show in the car was just as good as your show at home it doesn't matter where you're doing your show from as long as it's the two of you and you're bringing the information.... Right On Right On....🤔🤔🤔🤔
It will be a spectacle of epic proportions to see Hafthor breaking the all time world record deadlift in the UK. My girlfriend and I are so excited to see it in person!!
@Marcel16DM If it doesn't happen it's because they don't put it up as an event because he's more than capable. He makes deadlifts of all weights look submaximal.
Hatton's log was impressive, but his dumbbell was too. Hardly anyone managed the third 'bell for one rep, and many struggled with the lightest. He walked straight to the heaviest one and cranked out two solid reps. He probably could have done more reps if he needed to. At that stage of the competition it was amazing to see. Maxime looked awesome. As expected, he dropped a lot of points in the deadlift but scored very well on everything else. It really demonstrated how competitions with more events allow an athlete with one weak event to still do great overall. If ASC had eight events he would likely be far more competitive.
I quite like this "travel format", it makes it quite organic, more than the room talk ones of course. Please don't feel bad that you need to adapt, it's awesome that you can cover all of these things and create such great content. You two (three?) are my favourite Strongman channel to follow.
Rogue need to start inviting kordiaka to the Arnold and invitational. He’s won Europe’s, came 3rd 2 weeks ago at London and got to the final of wsm multiple times
Did you all see Thor's 400 Squat? He was supposed to do 3 reps but that one rep looked like the bar was loaded only with 1 plate! So pumped to see him in Colorado and Aberdeen.
Honestly, I don't think they will unless is a record breaker event, and they would have to place it before the competition so Thor is fresh to hit 505. That's the closest scenario. All this because Rogue invitational usually is used as a "what if" or "alternative" strongman events Rogue has developed but can't cut into the mainstage at the Arnold's due to space or sometimes because they are not heavy and static enough. For example, ASC has the hussafell stone, RI uses sandbags Wich main use is just training,; ASC has the elephant bar, RI has the tower of power; ASC has the wheel of pain, RI though has used the wp now is pushing the bull sledge pull and so on. Therefore, a traditional suited deadlift is almost out of question for the Rogue invitational, unless is done as a record breaker.
no Kordiyaka two years in a row, despite last year being a wsm finalist + esm, this year once again being a wsm finalist and literally just placing third at the GL above even Ragg, is a joke. Tom Evans is back again, placed 7th last year, didn't pass his wsm group, this year so far has come 9th at the arnolds and once again didn't pass his group. Deserving over Pavlo? No. And Loz saying one of his athletes has been offered reserve position...... so pavlo didn't get a reserve spot invite either? Rogue is really taking the piss. Hopefully this year's show is better than last year, which was pretty piss poor in comparison to the two years prior (at least in the context of the strongman show portion / record breakers). EDIT: I should also add, this is no hate towards Tom Evans, he's a solid athlete who's put in some decent midpack performances at his first big shows, for which he got obligatory invites to because of his amateur wins - fair enough. But, what competitions has he done since then / is he doing to deserve to keep getting invites to the biggest shows of the year?
I assume that the reserve Loz was talking about was Erin Murray for the womens comp, as the only high level mens atheletes that he has are Bobby & Mitch who are both already invited. I think it's quite likely that Pavlo is a reserve it just hasn't been announced yet, I do agree that he should be competing as he is clearly top 10 in the world currently.
@@__Raze my assumption is matuesz is a reserve so there's less pressure on his return but also a chance if he feels fit for it. If not matuesz I would say maxime because he has a relationship with rogue/Arnold's
could it be maybe he refused to save himself for other comps? or has he stated that hes bummed on not being invited? Genuinely curious because i love watching him compete hes got such a good skill set always a pleasure to see him
I know it's a lot of work Liz, especially when you're traveling, but I'd appreciate photos of the women -- even more than the men, because I know what the men look like. I don't even know how to spell the last name of the Nicole athlete you said not to sleep on. (Hopefully this is obvious, but I don't mean photos in a creepy way.)
Really happy to not see Martins on the list. I saw he was considering it and it had me really nervous because it would’ve been too fast for him to come back with his issues. Hopefully he can be in good shape for the Arnold next year though!
@@spokeen6249for Martins, yes. He is still in the "health, recovery, rehab" phase, he's not even trying to maintain a high level of strength right now. There's no way he puts his problems aside and preps legitimately for the Rogue. He's honestly done at the world level, he has old man problems like arthritis and hip problems in his early 30's. He maxed his body out, it's time to capitalize on the brand.
@@spokeen6249 If you watch is most recent training video, yes. He's had some issues, working on building back up now. Not ready yet. I hope he'll be back at 100%.
SMOE is his first prep at full steam, chill. He doesn't need to be beating Hooper and Tom anyways, there's 10 slots, and several are going that are a step down from them.
He's elevated because he's showed out in the past and he's brutally strong right now in basically every event but pressing since his pec tear. He doesn't have to "top dawg", lets just enjoy his lifts.
Weird Mateusz is not doing Rogue, but honestly, good for him, I want to see him at 95%+, not half ready. Achilles injury takes time to recover, he will be good next year, fingers crossed.
@@D.J.G.81drugs takes his body outside its injury threshold, he’s textbook example of why PEDs isn’t a good idea for amateurs - it’s not worth it for everyone.
@@Xplora213No, he just doesn't have the smartest programming and recovery. All the best Strongmen blasted their whole careers, and they look fine still, like Brian, Thor, Trey's been going for 12 years, Eddie, etc. and they didn't have a ton of injuries, and when they did, they were still good enough to win or podium, like Brian did in 2017 and 2018.
@@a-a-rondavis9438 have a closer look at the careers of everyone since 2015. Brian and Big Z were outliers, not the norm and they were competing a long time ago before weights got crazy. No one is able to compete 6 times a year safely anymore.
@@Xplora213literally everyone takes drugs. Big Z and Brian have had their injuries but managed to recover properly. Matuezs injuries probably comes from his programming and recovery
"We follow the sport just a little bit more then other people." Just a little more huh? This is where I come to get my strongman news. 😁*EDIT* I wanted to say, this format fits me fine personally.
Honestly it's weird for him not to be invited (unless he turned it down) considering this is the competition he was hurt at, so it's not like he failed to show himself over the year for any other reason.
I don't care where you are, you're giving out the info that everyone wants and not waiting to do it is just fine by me! Have a great time until we see you again!
