The best lift kit to me is the ATP lift kit. Full bolt on kit no modification needed. N very simple to install. I did mine in two hours front and rear. The ride quality is amazing. Had it on for two years and no issues
Sick I just bought the kit I’m moving out of state bought the aftermarket hitch for it and it’s way to low already scraped. So it was fun watching your videos so I can do the same thing!
From a different kit a guys channel on RU-vid is called blue collar garage he did a avid 2 lift kit. Not saying adventure gts job isn't good it is I'm just saying I watched both there both good and informative..just to show a different kit check that video out for a different kit.. no offense George...
Hey guys! Everything on my install went really well thanks to you guys but I’m having trouble with passenger side strut. I can get it on to the knuckle but the holes to put the 2 bolts back in are about half an inch off. The strut holes are lower than the axle holes or else id just jack it up. Did you guys run into this problem or could you think of a way I could align the holes?
I do remember we struggled a little bit on the passenger side as well. I think we ended up getting it by putting in a screwdriver and trying to pry it on one side while trying to insert the bolt on the opposite side. Hopefully this helps
After doing this lift, honestly would you suggest doing a different brand lift? Maybe a teraflex? Let me know what you think. Want to do this once and right, you know?
I have no problems with the Rough Country lift beside the dang sway bar links. I don't know much about the Teraflex lifts but I know alot of people run them too.
Looks great! I've been thinking about doing the same lift to my Trailhawk. Did you have any issues having the wheel alignment done? Were there any problems with the camber adjustment??
Shop told me the alignment went well. Unfortunately a few days later the front passenger side sway bar link became loose so I would have to tighten down. Might look into upgrading to better ones.
Hey, I am from India and I have installed rough county lift kit to my Jeep Compass 2021. I am confused about alignment. As alignment guy told me we can only do toe alignment and can’t do camber and caster. How your renegade alignment went. Is it completely done as per rough country recommended. I checked many videos but not able to find anything about alignment.
My passenger side link kept getting loose and was causing it to pop. I ended up using loctite on the nuts and bolts so they wouldn't come loose anymore.
I am have a problem with t passenger side keeps hitting the axle where I cant get to to go into the knuckle even after I removed the. Lip on the bottom of the strut.
We had the most problems with the passenger side. What we did was put the top strut bolt in and pried it into place. Even with a helping hand its a tough get. Good luck!
I can already see that you are neglecting proper maintenance. You need to clean the engine bay and undercarriage regularly or else rust will eat up your car. It does not cost much . Salt remover, WD40 , Fluid film, rust converter, paint etc. Cheap insurance against corrosion .
uh... he's unscrewing the negative terminal on the battery lol... LOL.. you just push the latch on it and it removes on it's own... no need to unscrew lol
The reason you are not getting the correct lift in your front end is simply the need for the front end lift level kit, because of the weight difference between front and rear this will level it out so the back end isn't sitting higher than the front
@@AdventureGT no i did not yet lol I was planning to do it tomorrow but thought to check with you guys before wasting money cuz i done the lift at home to save what i can
