Had this exact issue. Rough idle. Mechanics couldn't figure it out. I went to change the PCV valve and noticed it was brand new but the damn hose was snapped. Mechanics probably did it by accident. It's covered with thick foam too, so I cut the foam off, rejoined the hose, used high temp silicon tape and wrapped it up nice and tight. Zip tied the foam back on. Car runs completely normal now.

Thanks for this video! I had to replace mine today and it helped greatly. I had an EGR delete when I got long tube headers so all I needed to unplug was the coil plug on the passenger side.

finally someone with half a brain to show how to disconnect the pcv valve,near the throttle body,i thought that might have been the bleed valve so i wasnt to sure if to loosen or not...Thanks...Everyone has skipped this part.@3:58

That's a hell of a job I'm scared about. My car doesn't have AIR but the wiggeling und pulling, pushing under the wiper cowl scares me. I hate this project but I have to do it one day. Parts are here, but my motivation is near to an empty gas tank. 😂 How much time did You have to spent on this repair? Thanks in advance

Mine broke at the throttle body (the part that has the ground wire). Just tore off. If you cut away all the rubber garbage, it looks like you can replace it, but I think GM wants you to replace the whole tube assembly. crazy. I was driving all over town hoping I could get just the front tube "knuckle". Nope, Only the tube assembly folks...I had to drop $152. I currently have my intake off (unbolted), and it is raining here at the moment, but I wonder if it this will be easier with it off.

Yeah i just took my pcv tubing all out and set up a catch can system. No more shit going into the intake manifold.

Can you just change the small rubber hose that connects in the front intake manifold? Mine is dry from there only, can that part just be changed?

so I've replaced valve cover gaskets the other day and I noticed my 7th and 8th plug had oil on them and I found some blue sandy looking stuff in the coil and the plug wire as well. I am trying to fix a p0307 cylinder 7 misfire as well as white smoke out the exhaust

Did you get an engine code for the misfire? I've been having an issue with a random misfire after a stock engine rebuild. If you step on the gas , get a small stall, and when I go over 90, the engine light flashes for about 4 seconds and goes away. I checked the spark plugs today on one plug, and the gap was a little off. Spark plugs were still good. Ended up replacing them anyway. Now the stall is a little less, but the engine light still flashes after 90 mph. No codes. It's a 2002 Trans AM.

My car idles around 1200 sometimes the red light, So I've replaced the IAC valve and now just waiting on this tube to come in. I know the tube is crap.

Have u tried cleaning the throttle body as well? Yea i would look for anything possibly causing a vacuum leak behind the maf sensor..or even try cleaning the mass air flow with mass air flow sensor cleaner

Normally it wont affect one cylinder..itll affect a few..when its just one cylinder i would check spark plugs or the wire, coil etc.

If that pcv hose is torn it could cause that..if not id try looking for any other possible vacuum leaks or try cleaning throttle body and idle air control valve could be sticking or have a lot of gunk on it

Does it sound or feel like it misfires? If no, it could be something like the engine mounts..if yea maybe a dirty or sticking idle air control valve, dirty maf sensor..looking for any other vacuum leaks..youve probably already checked or replaced spark plugs/wires
