Actually it was originally 'Ryder', then they changed it to 'Rider', and now they returned to 'Ryder' again. I like the bolster engraving too - but they could lose the shield, one or the other please! The steel is 440A Stainless unless I'm mistaken. The Barlow knife goes back rather earlier than Tom Sawyer! Dr Obadiah Barlow, credited with being its inventor, hails from the 17th Century (in Sheffield, England). Nothing wrong with a RR - far better at their price point than they've any right to be. Most of them are a bit 'overbadged' for my taste, but I've still got a couple I enjoy.
