My first look at Rough Ryder's Ghost Fish. This sunfish/elephant toenail pattern knife features smooth white Micarta covers and a D2 Steel spear point blade in an E-Z open sleeve board handle.

I was super happy when they announced this knife, I bought one almost immediately and i think it might be my favorite RRR knife so far. If only it were in jigged bone.

I am really liking the looks of this pattern. To me, the flutes on the end cap make it look sort of like a minie ball, which is pretty cool. The micarta looks great, and the easy open notch was a nice touch. But the blade shape is what really catches my eye. I think it's sort of a cross between something A.G. Russell would have made and a Spyderco Native 5. Awesome piece, my friend!

Love mine. Very high quality as every reserve examples I have purchased. Blade is a great size and shape. Most of my Spyderco knives are much bigger in the blade. Would purchase this pattern in other cover materials.

Great review! I do like the single blade style. Most times the main blade gets in the way of using the secondary blade. I think the white Micarta is nice but I think a jade Micarta would look better. Personal preference. Thanks Tobias!

The blade shape reminds me of The A.G. Russell lockback Sunfish. Alaskans call a spawned out Salmon a Ghost Salmon. It is interesting to see one; they are dying after spawning and look like ghosts. They are still swimming and are rotting away. Their bones are showing and are white in color. If anything looks like a Zombie, they certainly do. The stamina of an Alaskan Salmon is beyond explanation.👍

Great Video Tobias! I also collect Sunfish/Elephant Toe pattern knives. You mentioned you'd be interested in a stag lockback variant of the Ghost Fish. A.G. Russell makes one. I own 2, one with black G10 covers & another with stag. Pricey knives, but the milled lockbar is really neat. It allows a large blade without increasing the handle size.

really nice knife, i know all about the back spring breaking, i bought a white smooth bone barlow from rough rider and the 3rd time i opened it the spring snapped now it sits in the sewing box because the small blade spring still works and my girlfriend uses it... honestly i thought it would be the case barlow that would break before the rough rider did but
