The winter of 2023 was particularly harsh across Arizona, with record breaking snowfalls dropping around 12 feet of snow in Williams and the Grand Canyon.
As Spring started to settle in, warmer temperatures resulted in a rapid melting of this snow, which caused water to pool in low areas to create seasonal lakes and normally dry washes to run hastily.
I went out to capture a few of these unusual conditions, photographing Grand Canyon Railway Passenger trains crossing bridges in the rare circumstance of what they were built to do.
This is a montage of those images.
