My favourite boots, rough out suede Coniston by Crockett and Jones, the more I wear them the better they look. Just bought a pair of Jimmy Choo reverse waxed Suede, or rough out, can't wait to break them in
@Chisos I absolutely love them. I did end up removing the insoles for (what I consider) a better fit on the 8.5s. My other "main" boots are tony lama 17" round toe buckaroos and elk Luchasses 2000s, both in size 9. I have to say that I do enjoy a more relaxed fit in a boot as my normal shoe size is 8.5... that being said, the #1s, with the stock insole, were a little too snug even after a couple weeks of constant wear. I would say that if I was wanting to utilize the insoles i would have probably preferred a size 9. Once I removed the insole (which don't get me wrong, is very nice) the boot fit was exactly what I want in a good quality boot. I am a more traditional insole guy. Bottom line... the #1 roughouts are badass boots and a pair of snip toes are definitely next on my my list. Great job Chisos!
Nice video...I comment often on Chisos Boots...I'm old (Boomer Gen) with a horse farm. I currently have tons of boots as that is what I wear 90% of the time. Of all the boots I currently wear my 3 pair of Chisos (all 3 offerings in snip toe) are the least expensive boots. However that said, they are an absolute tremendous value! I see folks complaining about the price of Chisos. I can tell you - I can afford to wear whatever I want. I do enjoy other boots, but honestly if I could only keep 1 pair of boots - the Chisos rough out would be my choice. Honestly it would be a tough call because my Black Jack elephant skin boots are just so comfortable, lol. Chisos...MAKE SOME ELEPHANT BOOTS - snip toe, 1 3/4 Cowboy Heel in brown or grey!!! I can easily count Chisos in my top 3 brands of top tier boots - that are worth the money: *in no order - Chisos - Heritage Boot Company (just an absolute fabulous boot with great style and quality) - Black Jack Boots (these are what Lucchese used to be 20-50 years ago) other brands I own and are in my current rotation: - Rios of Mercedes ( very nice boot) - Lucchese (only hand made and custom...I gave away all my others)
I have a pair of rough outs I bought this past Christmas, only worn them one time. Would really like away to brake them in fast. Does the soak with water and ware until dry work, or is there some other ways??
We don't recommend soaking them, but there are absolutely ways to speed up the stretching process! You can stuff a baseball or tennis ball into the vamp and leave them overnight, or alternatively you can wear thicker socks for the first few wears! Either of these methods should hasten the break-in process and help you to feel comfortable with less wear
Would I recommend Cowboy Boots as running shoes? I would not. Have Cowboys been running around chasing cattle for hundreds of years in Boots? Yes they have.
