Maybe did didn't want to explain how the sega characters met in the story mode and even if they didn't it would out of place for newcomers... So maybe we will see some sega characters as dlc

I will basically say this. As someone who got Ultimate Edition (Due to me not playing Half Genie Hero until a physical copy was released in the UK.... and I waited a while to play Half Genie Hero so by the time it came out physical it was the Ultimate Edition) The extra game modes are fun to play through but are not worth paying for it as DLC. If you are getting Ultimate Edition then you have everything and then go blast through them. Recommend the Ultimate Edition over the cheaper normal game.

@@BigFearedBalloon I agree, I have the ultimate edition on the switch, and I've beaten all the modes except for friends to the end and beach mode, but I still go back to play the main game a lot. That's just me personally, because that game has become one of my favorite games of all time.

I think Pirate's Curse is my favourite for a game but Half Genie Hero has a lot of replayability, so that game is more fun to playthrough again even if it isn't my favourite Shantae game out of the two (still need to play the original and Risky's Revenge though)

@@quillllly Heck, the fanbase is so insane, there's people like me who hate Sonic Mania! ...If you're wondering why, it's because they didn't really try anything legitimately ambitious, nor did they try to recreate and polish up on ambitious ideas that didn't stick (for example, Amy's gameplay from Advance 1). IMO if you attempt one of those two things, you have the heart of a true Sonic game, but Mania is massively lacking in that area. The constant nostalgia pandering to *one single era* didn't help. The difference between this and Generations is, Generations celebrated everything about Sonic. Mania acts scared to acknowledge anything that wasn't before 1999. I guess more than anything, I hate Mania because it seems like such a comfortable, easy game to make, when you compare it with new ideas and innovation. That's why they made DLC to begin with, not because they want to make games better, but because they want more money, and Mania Plus is an easy, inexpensive way to make more money.

It's a bit janky, getting a hit should knock you to significantly to the right like the death egg robot does imo, but still far better than the original

They could have make something so you could last a bit more while fighting it like the second phase of the final boss in S3&K where you have to open the mouth to attack it. Thats why i don't like the new boss update.

I don't follow the franchise myself but there must be so many nuances between each game in terms of feel and flow that really draws you in. Am curious about V myself as if IV is dead it seems a bit pointless to go for as I'm not much of a single player guy.

@@ikagura Eh, Classic Sonic was an unnecessary addition to the game, anyway. Throughout the game, Classic Sonic just felt shoehorned in just for the sake of nostalgia. Which was unnecessary because games like Sonic Mania already covered the nostalgia factor. The game itself is very short, the level design was very small, the story isn't really that great, some of the characters were portrayed better than they were in past Sonic games, the gameplay with the OC and Modern Sonic was good, and the Classic Sonic gameplay was okay. This game in my opinion is not good, it's not bad, and it's not mediocre, it's just okay. Sonic Mania was definitely better. Not because "It's 2D Sonic!", it's there was more effort put into it. Although, it wasn't completely great. It could have used more variation, a bigger story, and kept it separate from Sonic Forces.

Cosmo isn't canon, Zooey isn't either but she was from the Sonic Boom TV show, and the show was officially made by sega *Nobody ship Tails X Cosmo because Cosmo isn't canon, it's annoying*
