Great game by Kramnik, congratulations. I’m a big fan of both, Vlad and Levon are two of my favorite players nowadays. Sorry that Aronian has had a slow start and fell in this game, but also happy to see this wonderful game by Kramnik. Could you please adjust the volume of sound recording next time? This was too low; I can barely hear their comments even having my PC’s volume at its highest. Thanks.
Wow. The Rg8 move was found a couple of years ago, and he's been saving it for all this time. And now it'll never happen again in the top level games because everybody has seen this game and won't repeat this situation. Feels a bit anti-climatic. Also amazing that Kramnik found this move himself - the computers didn't suggest it!
Wow the big Vlad!!! Its like the the spirit of the old Garry Kasparov took over Kramniks body, this reminds me exactly when Garry in his prime used to come up with these devastating novelties and crushed his opponents right from the opening. What a fantastic game by one of the greatest players of chess history the big Vlad. By the way poor Levon he played e4 after 50 years and got smashed i feel kind of sorry for him experiment of the first move failed!
i watched it LIVE from Manila w/ Peter Svidler commenting! very cool ! wild and RARE game... wont ever happen agn! Vlad made d best of it...congratz!! I wish him All d Luck in nxt games to challenge Magnus! and Lev a pleasant restDay , so he can shake it off his bones and comeback strong!!
I really hope so. If he manages, i would get ready to see the first exciting WCC of my lifetime. Caruana, Aronian or Mamedyarov would also be exciting. But Kramnik would be even better.
Why sometimes one of strongest GM "Aronian" loses in 20 or some more moves in a brilliantly game? Like few times against Anand with black and also with white.
Jacek S lol.. Yeah.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QkmDPMSl2Gg.html that look by kramnik at 2:02 in the above video shows it all.. ☺️☺️
I don`t know, if I am entitled to criticize the best chess players in the world, because I am only an average club player. But as nice that is being humble, the top players seem to make a competition, in who is the most humble and who beats the others in self-deprecation. Sometimes I miss the old times when Fischer and Kasparow just said: "I am the best, I enjoy to see my opponents`egoes breaking." For example, why can`t Vladimir just say:" Yes it was a great game, I don`t know yet, but it will make probably history, I am proud of myself! " Although I understand that Levon did not make the best moves, I think it shows incredible talent for Vladimir to find the best moves on the board and none of these moves were obvious, at least not to me. Also, he did not try to save a small advantage and make simpler moves with little risk. He tried great and the game became great. And if someone would do a similar painting, it would be a Rembrandt or Duerer at their peak and not the scribbles of little children!
+ Neurotica This was just an example what he might have said , if he had a different approach. It was just my mental input. What he actually says is up to him (of course).
Play the Berlin, in Berlin, against the master of the Berlin...and get demolished in a miniature. Aronian doesn't make the best decisions in candidates.
EPO in his blood allows him to survive grueling 120 move stand-offs, while anabolic steroids provide the necessary leverage to hold the pieces over the board longer than your opponent.
