Well, you demonstrated several things here. 1. Nothing beats steam, 2. There is no such thing as too many clamps, 3. Every good project begins with a cat. By the way, you do good work. Happy New Year!
I thought for sure when the wood started breaking up you would redo with new but glad to see you were able to piece the original wood back together. Great work!
I see the cat is helping today. What did you do to your wrist, friend? Sprain? Hope it's not serious. This particular renovation and repair was acutely timely for me. I have a wonderful old oak round table with the same problems this one had. A warped top, and although different than yours, delaminated legs. Problem after problem. I loved the step-by-step demonstration of how you straightened that top. Now I know what to do to get mine back in shape. I've had this table for years and have never been brave enough to attempt what you did so easily here. And the way you handled the block where the legs attach was absolutely brilliant. Thank you for this GREAT tutorial. And the result? Stellar!
Przepięknie pan ten stolik zabytkowy odrestaurowany serdeczny mam szacunek do pana i takich jak pan fachowców bardzo to jest starannie idealnie wykonane pozdrawiam. 👍👍👍👍
Wow, that looks lovely! My kitchen table is similar except on four legs with a metal thing to adjust the height and now I know what to do. Thank you so much ❤
How I envy you. So much talent and skill it takes to save a beautiful piece of furniture. Your talent surpasses abilities. What a magnificent job. Cheers
Hi, I've been a subscriber for awhile and I must say this was some of your best repair work in my opinion. How in the world you put those 1000 puzzle pieces on the underside back together will always be a mystery to me though!! Great skills, thank you for sharing!!
I always wonder about where woodworkers that restore get their education. Is it by family or institutions or self teaching and experience. I am 72 and have had great diversity and success in many professions, however woodworking is something I aspire to learn. I’ve gathered tools, supplies, and furniture to begin to focus on beginning to restore and refinish. And we finally have a very large space for all my husband’s tools and all the furniture, tools, and supplies I have collected. I always enjoy your work. You make it appear so easy, when for me it is not. Thank you for filming and sharing.
Tebrikler yenileme yaptığınız gibi bazen modifikasyonda yapmanızın iyi olacağını düşünüyorum.Mesela masa tablasının ortasına küçük yuvarlak bir cam konulması iyi olabilirdi.
Your Inspector Approves! As Do I! Hard to Believe this Little Beauty was under ALL that Crud and Damage. I Still can't quite figure what all was done to it by its Previous Owner(s). Do you think they used All the Glue and Nails?
Love the kitty supervisor, what every self-respecting furniture restorer needs! Lovely job on the table. (I'm assuming the wrap on your wrist is preventative, not from an injury, I hope?) Happy New Year from Aotearoa...
That was amazing to watch. A lot of care and dedication taken restoring this one. Does it have special meaning ? This would have taken you hours to complete. Loved it 👏👏👏
Love the table, even the "before" but especially the after, which was an incredible transformation. And I'm glad that your cat made an appearance too, keeping an eye on you as your su-purr-visor!
That turned out SO well. Great job dude. You have been getting out some great content. It makes me feel like a slacker since I haven't posted in so long. I'm sitting here watching you when I should be editing my own but oh well, it is worth it to see how great this turned out. Mutlu yıllar! 🍻
You're always so kind my friend, thank you. But yes, please try to be less lazy, I love watching your work. And I also wish you and your loved ones a wonderful 2024 😊🤗🎉🎉
I have never seen a table or any piece of furniture with that many nails and staples in it lol. Did you count how many in total? That table was in pretty sorry shape and yes many, many pieces. glad you were able to put it back together so it's like new all over again. Nice job on solving the puzzle! 😉😉😂
