Always enjoy your videos. Thank you, so much for your time. I think you wear ear protection all the time but as a 61 year old with tinnitus, for viewers, always wear it.

"Smart" and "Dapper" are two terms that I would love to be confident enough to apply to my finished projects if I was good enough! "Botch job" and "You won't see it from my house" are closer to reality though 🙁 I have some mild steel gates to repair, and I'm hoping that when I'm done people won't be able to see the botch jobs because my filing and grinding hid the worst of the mess. A good thick coat of Hammerite might also help.

Sadly it goes like that more often than not. Let me know how you get on with your gates. Also smart and dapper are great words lol.

See, the thing with the files and grinders is that you use them to remove the bits that aren't smart and dapper.

Welcome back Sir. Was contemplating a search party. Question: how did the blacksmiths or yore mushroom the tenons into place without their having an oxy fuel torch to concentrate the heat on the desired location?
@danielmoss2089
@danielmoss2089 2 года назад
Hotted them up in the fire and had more skill than me. Lol But wrought iron is like butter when hot so is a damb site easier to move when hot.

I've heard the purporse of the side holes in monkey tools is to see how deep the tennon is and make sure you don't upset it against the bottom of the tool, since then it would be almost impossible to extract.

Are you hitting your guillotine tool with a rawhide mallet? I knew you were weird but.... 🤣🤣 I'm guessing so you don't have to clean up the tooling a lot

Hi Daniel Moss, something strange going on with your videos. Noticed you've stripped out a lot of content. What''s changed!
