That can't be a coincidence. I've already made it VERY clear how I believe coincidences do not exist and everything that seems like one is a deliberate reference/call-back in disguise.
I like Jojo and all, but it's REALLY nice to see someone who actually knows this song from that album instead of the anime. My god, a part of me was dreading scrolling down to look at the comments only to see non stop Jojo references.
@@SirPonnd Yeah. JoJo got me into Yes. I have about 7 albums listened. It's full of gems, but it's quite hard to recommend. Specially Topographic Oceans.
This is what I hear when my Italian friend dies and leaves behind his life essence for me to absorb like his grandfather did for my grandfather (they were friends like us)
@@DonkeyKongJr Nah, he's just memeing cos Mario is Italian and there's an Italian guy in part 2 where (I think) this song still plays at the end of episodes
@@notsure1969 Yeah, I know. I'm not expecting every Jojo fan to branch out into their whole discography. I have just about every studio Yes album from 1970-now
He is a senator, after all. A hot blooded young man would never ever break into his car and demand to be driven around, nooooo sir! That simply does not happen to a senator!
Machine Messiah or Yours Is No Disgrace. Maybe remix the original Sonic soundfont and do The Musical Box or Supper's Ready (get it, because it would be Sega Genesis?)
Bowser “Oh? You're approaching me? Instead of running away, you're coming right to me?" Mario "I can't swing you around by the tail without getting closer”
>after collecting all 120 Stars and using the cannon to blast onto the roof of Joestar Mansion "Jonathan, is that really you? It's your old pal Speedwagon!"
The episode where Bowser used the power star of aja to become the ultimate lifeform was crazy. I was in awe when Mario flew him into grumble volcano by using the super feather. And when Mario crashed his own funeral after using a 1-Up to get an extra life. Truly peak fiction.
Too bad the bass kinda got lost in the mix, due the soundfont not having a prominent bass tone. It's obviously the best part of the song, along with the keys.
Yoshi: If this is my destiny, i'll accept it. Luigi: Yoshi-san! Did you just... * proceeds to run to the abyss with Mario, knowing he won't reach the other side, but maybe Mario can * * to be continued *
Add this to the Mario Schizoid Man doing the rounds. What is it about prog that makes it inherently suitable for a video game sound fx mashup treatment? Hilarious.
Think about it, mario has a stand, and that stand is his hat. He can fly, become indestructable and throw the hat ext. He could easily beat dios ass with his abilities
This may be a meme but godDAMN this actually slaps harder than I could've thought it would! Let's hope more prog masterpieces get the N64 treatment cos after this I'm excited for what comes next!
@@IanSparrow For sure! Definitely not denying that, I have Fragile on vinyl and it's easily in my top 5 prog rock records. I just love how it comes out with this particular soundfont, it's just really pleasant to the ears, hell it could come out in 8-bit sound and I'd still love it!
@@apathyisdeath2977 It sure is nice to have both things I love (70's prog-rock and Mario 64) blend together so well. I'm curious to know what are your 4 other picks in your top 5, if you don't mind.
@@IanSparrow Aye, it's awesome knowing so many video game composers, especially Japanese ones, were heavily influenced by prog rock and jazz fusion. Honestly in no particular order I'd also put Pink Floyd's Meddle, The Mahavishnu Orchestra's The Inner Mounting Flame, King Crimson's Discipline, or Red (love both those eras and it's way too hard for me to pick a favourite, so many classic albums), and Soft Machine's Third.
Was watching this and my brother fell down right as the meme to be continued part kicked in, now I'm not saying this music has any magical powers but I'm not saying it doesn't either
