When I first started to learn I hated Heartsease roundabout, now that I'm used to it I deal with it so well!

Your use of graphics to represent the 3 mirrors on a car on your videos very helpful, as I am a visual learner. In recent years, I have been trying to update my knowledge of driving instruction, to better support both nieces learning to drive. Very quickly I realised it was best to let their instructors teach. After speaking to the instructor , I realised the best help I could provide was to sit next to them to allow them to practice what they had learnt. Thanks for your videos.

After 40 years of driving experience, safely and correctly navigating a busy 4 + junction roundabout is something which requires most of my attention. As a learner, I still recall learning how to consistently make my way through a very busy local roundabout ( to my instructors satisfaction) . It is where I believe learning, judgement, and confidence meet.

At 2:30 if you didn’t have local knowledge would you stick to the LH lane entering the roundabout? Great video :-)

Yes you could stay as it is ahead

Hi. Thanks for nice video. Could you pls. Clear one thing? You, while going on straight ahead 3rd exit, used right lane. Shoudn't it be left lane that is normally used for going on left and straight ahead when no road markings ? Kindly explain. Thanks
@How-2-drive
@How-2-drive 4 года назад
moby s not for this roundabout, advise would be to position to the right as the 3rd exit is past 12 o’clock You could keep left but others will assume you’re going to either 1st or 2nd exit

Rowes-Enterprises no you’re ok to be in the left to go ahead, this is normal practice for RB

@@How-2-drive what should be the speed on the roundabout ? Preparing for part 2 and usually I get told off for doing 20

I have my ADI part 2 test next week. Quick question. If I am coming upto a roundabout and i am asked to take the second exit. Second exit is roughly 2oclock but the road arrows point straight. Should I indicate?

Listen to what the examiners says. If they say "at the RBT follow the road ahead" then no signal, treat as ahead.

im confused with your direction-positioning. Of what my instructor said if its ahead direction you should use the left had lane for that exit. But here you are signalling going right when you are goind just ahead? please enlighten me.

What gear do you go in for roundabouts
@How-2-drive
@How-2-drive 3 года назад
Basicx the gear should match the speed you are travelling. If you can keep moving it’s normal to be travelling at around 10 to 15 mph so 2nd gear. Is most common for a roundabout, but then 1st or 3rd are also used . Think speed, then gear
