The second race for the mixed Pre 83, Pre 93 and Super Tourers grid at Donington Park GP had me starting behind Stephen Primett and alongside Jonathan Corker whom I'd mixed it with in the first race on Friday. Unfortunately they found another gear in this one and I couldn't keep pace, combined with the rapid M3 of Graham Myers interjecting I found myself well adrift the Pre83 leaders and instead fending off the threat from Mark Cholerton and Simon Jeffs behind in the Escort RS2000 and Golf GTI respectively. After some good racing side by side down the Craners and through the chicane the Escort retired with a technical problem and the pace of the VW dropped off leaving me to take the flag, perhaps a little more sideways than would be sensible!
