Man... This route... Used to hate this route... Now it's 3am and I'm crying listening to this wanting to be Lucas sleeping at the lodge... Catching pokemon... Trying to walk buried in 1.50 meters of snow in a raging blizzard...
Man this makes me miss a streamer I watched who goes by the name “TheJWRB”. He would play this in his steam, I theorize he stop making video because around the time he stopped he mentioned he got a job and he probably moved on from his channel cause of it
I have the same experience just with a different streamer. He used to do interactive pokemon platinum nuzlockes. He stopped streaming over a year ago, I really loved to talk to him and his twitch chat. It was such a good community. He went by the name "emdot97". Great memories
Had that with this youtuber. I can't remember his name for the life of me but he used to have a website with detailed guides and walkthroughs I'd use to get legendaries. I think he had Marill as his mascot or something blue.
Nostalgia is a powerful drug but as someone who hasn't played the original DPPt games and first played gen 4 via BDSP, I find most of the remastered tracks to be far superior after having gone back and listening to the DPPt versions. The fidelity of the instruments is so much higher, each instrument sits in a nice place within the other tracks -- in the original version of this song some of the elements are barely audible due to the low quality of the old DS sound chips.
@@0ne_Hundred I agree with you. I'm by no means well-versed in music terminology or whatever, so I can't really describe it the "right" way, but I just like how the original sounds a lot more. Sure, this is higher quality and all, but I don't really like these new instruments. There's more to it, but it lacks the charm of the original. Uhh.. I guess a good comparison would be the use of 2D sprites vs 3D models? Sure, the 3D models can have a lot more detail and all, they give you a better picture of the Pokemon, but it just lacks the charm of the original sprites. For two things that really stick out, the one instrument (I have no clue what it is, tuba maybe?) is completely missing from the very beginning, which is what I loved most about the original. Reminded me of the sound of stepping in half a foot of snow. Second, 0:23 just.. Sounds like it doesn't fit in this version. I very much prefer the original there too. Reminds me more of relaxing on a beach than being in a blizzard.
I agree so much, this one feels "wrong" to me. All the instruments seem not correct to me. I don't know how to say it, but I feel like this route was properly messed up!
