Who would've though that the closest match for the champion would have come in the quarters? Am kinda sad Aspinall didn't get further than that one match dart against Price.
Yeah, i would agree but anderson is also unconsistant. When gary is on Form youre right and peter wright can Beat him as well. Missed a lot of Chances in the semis but an on form wright is up there
Van gerwen is still the best until his recent drop in form stays that way over a period of time. Price is certainly having a good run at the moment but Van Gerwen has proved himself as the best for ten years. Price or none of the others have come close to Van Gerwens dominance, if Price developes into that kind of player and providing Van Gerwen doesn't recapture form then Price could take over. So could a number of other players like Peter Wright the competition is tough right now, difficult to call but Van Gerwen is top man and still the man to beat until he proves without doubt has lost his dominance.
