Two things In the beginning I called the screw a spring oops and in the middle during the screw cutting I called the die a tap 🤣🤣🤣🤣 it was midnight and Im 45 😂🤣😂! Hope it helped someone out!

Im a fan of the symsteer but not the tie rods lol. This is a great cheap fix the car will now steer much better for pops so well that if he steers to fast or sharp it will wreck the car!
I do refrigeration / hvac work and Im always collecting caps from brazing rod containers or line sets. That’s where all those come from. I believe I even bought some one time of various sizes from Tower Hobbies on line.
Thank u for the video mate. Subbed to your channel. Just bought a Rovan Baja 290S here in Australia and found that I get full steering lock only when the wheels are off the ground. When its sitting on the ground i barely get half lock. Will this mmod u put here fix this issue? Do i need a stronger servo? Got many questions as this is my 1st "real" RC car. Cheers
Hey brother thanks for the support! Sounds like you just need to adjust your endpoints in your radio. Also you can remove the servo arm(horn) off the servo and set the steering endpoints to zero and while powered up reinstall the servo horn and align the wheels as best as you can and tighten up the horn . Then you can trim up the wheels straight and set the endpoints to not oversteer or over throw the servo with the radio controller . This fix here in this video will just remove the slop from an already properly aligned steering! I hope that helps bro! Welcome to the channel. Please dont let Sundays scare you away!! 🤝
Hey Brother man I have a question about camber. I added a front lower chassis brace and with the added weight should I adjust the camber? It’s set pretty much straight up and down for bashing around. How do you like yours set? Thanks and GB👍👍👍
Hey brother I like mine just like that! Wheels pointing straight! Thats great for bashing. The only time you want some extra camber is if you were going to race the baja on a track with lots of turns then a little camber will aid in sharp fast turns.

Yes that’s typical. It needs to be tightened up . The baja has a lot of sloppy play in the steering what I did here in this vid will fix it right up. Also if you have a powerful engine it will push the front of the car making it hard to steer and a stronger servo will help with that.

Do you know of any videos or online files that will help me to complete a KM-T1000 front-end assembly? It's together all accept the front-end. The original owner bought upgrades, took it apart and during a move he lost the old AND new front-end parts...I bought without front-end and contacted KM with pictures and they sent me all the parts I needed to finish it but the parts diagram that came with truck doesn't show "order or sequence " to put it all together. Nobody in my area is into RC much less 5th scale. Any help would be soooo appreciated! I've owned this for 5yrs and had the parts for 2yrs. If I would have taken it apart or had one to go by I may could have done it myself by now. Thanks in advance for any help to assemble the front-end of my KM-T1000.
Hey Dennis this is just a baja style truck so you can go yo hpi online and type hpi baja manual and follow the instructions there. It just goes together like any other baja brother! Hope that helps ya! A good exploded view may help you also that can be had on the king motor website. I found it by simply typing KMT1000 manual. Hope you are having a great weekend!
I looked up the KM-T1000 & the HPI 5T and found exloded parts diagrams but nothing to follow like you were talking about in this video. If I had a manual that said (for example: page 20 step 35, steering knuckle assembly) something like that to follow, I know I could do it . I have parts that I barely can tell what they are much less how to use it to assemble the front-end. If you will, let me know if there is such instructions that u know of.....I think I can go by your video as long as the KM-T1000 & 5T are the same or very similar. Just hoping someone knows of an assembly or build manual. Thanks and again, sorry for bugging you....I just want this thing running though! Lol
Your not bugging me brother! If you lived close Id come over and show you how to do it. But HPI has a kit version manual on their website! Its just as you described brother step by step install.
