Well this is an old video brother but guess what I saved all the 30.5 vids and they are rippers brother! That little 30.5 long rod was very mean! It pulled 26/48 gears in a 27.8 pound car 😱! I was impressed. The vid got shared on Facebook and received the most hatred ever it was crazy! It started all kinds of drama! That was not the intention. Its not my fault Allen knows how to make a Chinese engine rip balls! Hes been doing engines for years over 20 years of experience he has!
Great video. Perfect for what I’m trying to figure out right now. Do you have the stock steering setup in your Baja or would you recommend the Rovan symmetrical steering set up they sell on the website?
This steering is fine if you tighten it up . However the symmetrical steering is awesome! It really steers well and is definitely an upgrade! It will steer the Baja or any FT or Baja platform so well under speed that it will wreck the car

Im late to the post but i dont think the 10 piece shim kit exist anymore on DDM...is that something you just happened to catch at the time? Do you know anywhere else that may have it?
What causes the steering to not turn full lock? Drove mine second run, had a roll brought it back in and the wheels only turn half the amount it did before. Servo still seems to turn as normal but isn’t coming through on the wheels. Total beginner so I don’t know what I’m doing. Any info appreciated
Maybe your servo horn the arm on top of the servo stripped out . That would be my first guess. Not sure what kind if radio you have but you also could have accidentally adjusted a setting / moved a dial.
@@eastsiderc took the whole front off and noticed I can see the gear that the servo on is on, should I be able to see the teeth on gear? It doesn’t seem like it wants to push back on. The servo certainly rotates full when the front end was off. I played with the trim and it didn’t make much difference. I tried to move each wheel individually while not connected left to right and found both felt quite stiff, they spin fine but not so much in left to right. Is that normal? Appreciate your quick response mate. The radio is a fly sky fast-gt3b 2.4ghz.
@@racingandmusicmylife you can see the teeth on the gear a little but it sounds like the plastic servo horn is stripped. If it came loose its most likely stripped and you should upgrade to an aluminum one.
I feel like you would know if it is stripped though the horn would just push on the gear sticking out of the front very easily and not stay on. The plastic horns do push on quite stiff. If the servo is moving slowly and feels really stiff it may be going bad .
@@eastsiderc thanks mate, I’ll have another look. I noticed the wheels still won’t turn nicely even with the steering removed. Bent ball in the suspension arms maybe? I think the servo is ok. Nice channel mate, take care 👍🏼
