Hi Alex, great job you've done there, lucky that all went to plan for you. Pleased you got your voice back. I'll look forward to seeong the the new wimg fitted. Take care, Jon B. 🙂
When I was a youngster, a neighbour use to take all four wings off and treat them after each winter to prevent rust on his P6, I clearly remember it as its something I've never seen again. Good luck with this one Alex.
Wow alex, Mr jenkins wing was a tad past it. Very glad all the bolts came undone and I look forward to watching the repairs. That inner panel looks interesting to fit.
Good job. Back in the early 1980s, I removed all 4 of the rusty wings from my 3500s P6, I wire brushed the suspension, red leaded it, and shuttled the underbody and inside of the new wings, then got some inner sill jacking point boxing in welding and screwed on new hammerstein sill covers, it looked great in the shiny Almond yellow beige and black vinyl, webasto roof & black narrow pleat leather seats
A great old motor, I've had two, a 1972 2000SC in the late 70's in really nice condition and a scruffy 1975 2000TC a few years later. By the way, did your cup really say what I thought it did lol!!!! You had me howling at "it's okay, it's MOT exempt". Great video by the way, just subscribed so looking forward to working my way through your channel.
Great job Alex. Always liked the P6 since my dad had one. What was going through their minds when they designed the suspension instead of a vertical strut I wonder.
Alex gets her voice back which results in Mr. Jenkins being mutilated and Remy doing the wise thing and nowhere to be seen. However, all in all a job well done.
I’ve got a funny story about those side light pips. Be very careful around them if you have the back end jacked up. It makes the front end lower than normal. I dropped something on the floor and bent down to pick it up and the point of the side light stopped me dead. I ended up with an l shape cut in my trousers and a cut in my bum cheek
You're far better off treating that rust underneath and then painting it rather than using sealant. That stuff just allows rust to form underneath it and hides it while it rots your car away.
Hi Alex, hope you're feeling a lot better. Are you at work ? I might have glimpsed you at KFC A40 Ross on Wye about 3.30ish today Friday 26th. Was it you ? Enjoy your Videos! 👍 🏁
Why keep banging on the old wing. Its rotton. Get it off in the bin. And a new wing on i know its to show how to do it. You do an exelent job. But hammering the old wing. 🤔
