Rovio is bringing back Angry Birds... for a price 

The original Angry Birds, when it first released, costed money. I don't know why people are getting mad, it means no stupid ads (probably)

Honestly....this is what I wanted. I don't necessarily want them to change it up, and if I wanted angry birds but with new features, I'd just play Angry Birds 2. I'd hope the game runs smoothly and is visually remastered so it's nice and HD, but beyond that, I'm fine with paying a couple bucks for the fun gameplay I remember. Although I do agree it was weird of them to take it off in the first place...

Keep in mind, Angry Birds was a paid game for a while until the movies released. They’re trying to make it as faithful to 2012 as possible (albeit a little too faithful, as they are removing certain episodes) which is something I can admire. At the very least, it’s a step in the right direction.

This is not a terrible desision. It might actually be a good one if the game is programmed well. I don't think there will be ads. Also, the Angry Birds on PC actually did cost money, but it definitely was worth it. I'll save my money for when it comes out.

How could this happen man? At one point Angry Birds are the most popular modern video game IP on the planet. Everyone knew about Angry Birds if they weren't already playing it! So how did Rovio, with the incomparable name recognition and generated profits, mess up so badly to the point where you can't even download the game on certain devices? It's such a massive squandering of resources and mismanagement that leads us to this point where not only is there no new Angry Birds games, but you can't even play the old ones. Angry Birds was so popular, it deserves better than this.

IF, listen up, IF, this game is well done, well programmed, well done and well done. Like... Done REALLY good. Like... Portal 2 good. To be able to bring old memorys, and make new ones even better. Something to be loved. Something so well done, that it's worth to pay for. THEN we will be ok if they take down all the older stuff and put a price tag on the new ones. But it would need to be an masterpiece. I also think that at least one should stay free. A simple version of the game. May it have ads or whathever. But one free version. Only to... To bring the younger generation to the good side of the internet... instead of putting them to tiktoks or those other cringe/trash mobile games...

I would love a sequel to EPIC, the reason been, it was my Favourite Angry Birds game as a child, now I’m older and going to re install some AB classics, I see half of them taken off the App Store. Epic, Space, Star Wars, almost all of them. I could remember playing Epic as a child, and I really want it back with all of my heart! (The Nostalgia!) So even if they don’t make a sequel, please bring back the original!!!!

If it'll be brand new engine, new graphics, maybe more effects and, what's the most important, will contain all episodes from original game, I will see no problem for paying a prise for remake/remaster/you name it, because you just get full experience with no ads or donate... But otherwise it'll truly be nothing but scam.

I think making it free would easily make them more hype when it launches then making people pay coz if it's free people might just download it even tho they don't play mobile games but if it's paid most people won't play it coz they don't even care about angry birds anymore

Honestly, Rovio isn't supposed to add a price tag for their games to gain money for the company. It would have probably been best if they could go on with their own plans during their first years, because their new way of trying retain their old quality seems to be going down hill someday

Honestly, as a classic angry birds fan myself, I'm Really disappointed that there not bringing back the other games ( angry birds seasons, angry birds GO! etc.), but I dont mind them bringing back the angry birds classic game.

whats weird is that I didnt find out about the original games being missing for a long time, because I just never uninstalled angry birds 1 from my phone, so somehow still have it in all its glory. I think it crashes a lot though but its definitely playable

I have been a fan of Angry Birds since it first came out in 2009 when I was 9 years old at the time, fast foreword to 2022 I'm 21 (will be 22 this summer) and still a fan and I still have my huge collection of Angry Bird Plush toys (all characters) which I play with every now and then in my free time.

It’s just kinda weird to me because depending on when you first downloaded the game along with reloaded, you’re pretty much going to play the same game 3 times in a year. Or at least I think that’s a possibility.

i miss angry birds star wars 2. That was my childhood, and i had a bunch of those telepods to put on my tablet when i was losing.

I really miss Angry Birds Space. If anything, I want that game back. It was a nice twist on the original game. I think removing that one was definitely a mistake, and bringing it back would be great (I don't even care about improved graphics, I just want the game back)

I can kinda answer the no more info about the lawsuit yet: There is a process called pre-trial discovery, in which it’s a possible years lasting discovery about the company or person as long as they can to use as evidence or what not And also I think they are charging people money for the remade game because they need money in case they lose the court case and pay their lawyers

Let me get this straight, Rovio removes the original games bc it was "buggy" and now the only way we can get it back is for this one to do well? Honestly, Rovio is mostly likely going to bleed out of bankruptcy. I still to this day question why they shot themselves in BOTH feet by removing every title with exceptions all because of them being “incompatible” when they’ve simply could’ve just renewed them with the money they had. By the time this remake comes it’s most likely gonna be far too late to save them. Never quite seen such a financially irresponsible company like Rovio

Rovio only cares about money. They delete the games on purpose for 2 years on their 10th anniversary then they don't plan on releasing them again. I don't know how game development works but I don't see how they can delete tons of games then not be able to release then again. Couldn't they just save backups or something.

Also the main thing that should be focused at the price tag is the fact that their profit will be the deciding factor whether the franchise lives on or die. As numerous comment pointed, Angry Bird's a hostage now. Just like that Monkey Ball game.
